Lakshya

Amidst the chaos of becoming a software engineer, where I am still confused between the 'Esc' key and the 'Enter' key, I continue to think of what I should become. As I look forward towards the long path of my future, the very next step looks hazy… unclear….

And my dear friends! This happens not only to me, but many peoples… may be, from various professions… and also… Farhan Akthar.

LAKSHYA: The film begins on a noteworthy scene where a military vehicle journeys along the highway nearby the LOC. The rest of the film seems to be a bit targeted away from the LAKSHYA. The film confuses between being a film about a man's journey and a film about war.

A film by Farhan Akthar: ' It took him 23 years and 18000ft to find about himself '. The main aspect of finding oneself is Realization. And that lies just between the '23 years' phase and the '18000ft' phase. In story-telling, that juncture needs to be either sharp or strong (if not sharp). And Farhan fails to show that. He seems confused regarding what and where this films leads to. The film misses his uniqueness (DCH). Javed Akthar's screenplay looks outdated.

But… To prove that the film is good, I got two persons to mention: Christopher Popp , the cinematographer, does a wonderful job behind the lens; the way he shot the Kargil war scenes is awesome. He can be called the second hero of the film… next to Hrithik.

This film serves to tell that Hrithik mania in Bollywood continues and will continue. Either in his sincere histrionics suiting the script, or perfect obedience to Prabu Deva's choreography, he appears at his best in the well-tailored role.

The Last Line: If you enjoy a film by simply watching it, you won't be disappointed on watching this film; but if you try to read this film while watching it, you will have a busy time making out the umpteen errors.
