We
arrived at Sravanthi Movies office by 7:00 am on 10th September
2002. Since that day happened to be Vinayaka Chaviti, producer
Ravi Kishore was busy performing Ganesh Pooja. At 8 am, director
Trivikram showed up and he drove us to the shooting spot in a
brick-colored Fiat Palio car. The shooting spot that day was the
Dr. Ambedkar Sports Stadium located at BHEL, Hyderabad.
As
soon as we reached the spot, the first thing, which caught our
attention, was Sunil relishing his breakfast with a mouthful of
everything he could lay his hands on from the breakfast table.
The moment he saw us, he came up with an instant joke on the '.com'
idea - 'Nenu food kottetappude teesukuraavaala? Ide badtime.com
ante!!'
If
you thought, enjoying the witty dialogues of Trivikram and watching
Sunil and his pranks on the screen is fun, we have to tell you
how funny things could get with these people around. These guys
can crack jokes with so much ease and no effort that it was we
who had to make an effort to control our laughter enjoying those
funny jokes. We had a ball laughing away to glory.
The
producer Ravi Kishore mentioned to us that though it was not conspicuous,
the budget for that day's shoot was 1.25 lakhs. The scenes to
be canned on that day had to have the backdrop of a cricket match.
15 models were hired to act as heroine buddies and each model
was paid Rs 1,000/- a day as remuneration. Around 100 junior artists
were hired to act as the crowd for the cricket match and each
one was paid Rs 300/-. Rent for the stadium was Rs 35,000/- a
day. The other expenses of that day included breakfast, lunch
and other entertainments for the cast, crew and junior artists.
Tarun
was the next important person to arrive at 9:30 am. He drove his
black Mitsubishi Lancer to the location. Sunil's car is a Grey
colored Hyundai Accent. After having breakfast, the entire unit
moved into the stadium to set the things up.
Shriya
was the last one to arrive the crew started canning the scenes
that did not involve Shriya.
The
scenes
The
scene that was canned in the morning is something like this -
Tarun
is batting at the pitch as Sunil and his gang sit in the gallery.
Sunil starts betting with his pal that Tarun is going to make
a half-century. When Tarun makes 46 runs, he happens to glance
at Shriya who is giving a sweet smile to him. He falls in a trance
with her looks and the bowler clean bowls Tarun. When Sunil tries
to make an exit, his friend who won the bet asks Sunil to pay
the money. Sunil replies to him - Nuvvu kadupuki annam tintunnava
leka biryani tintunnava? Oka pakka friend out ayyi badha padutunte
.. dabbu adugutaava? Sunil then meets the disappointed Tarun
and says - Nuvvu velli Sachin laaga aadi vastav anukunte ..
sachchinodi lagaa out aipoyi vastava?.
The
unit also canned few more shots that are dealt with cricket on
that day.
Interview
- Tarun
Tell
us about the character you are playing?
I
am playing the character called Rishi. This guy is a very freaked
out guy. He is like the prince in college. Everybody just listens
to him. Even guys like Sunil, who usually fool around, are not
supposed to crack jokes when Rishi is around. Rishi is the one
who does everything.
When
you pass through the traffic and stop at signal lights, you presume
that red means stop and green means go. Rishi is one kind of guy
who questions what yellow means? Rishi starts thinking from a
certain point where others would have stopped by then. He teases
Anjali (heroine) and falls in love with her and then some problem
arises.
What
makes Anjali fall in love with Rishi?
I
can't reveal that stuff. But there are a couple of touching scenes
where Rishi wins the heart of Anjali. You should watch it on the
big screen.
You
have debuted as a hero with Nuvve Kavali and now you are
working with the same team again for Nuvve Nuvve. Do you see any
change in you as an actor?
I
was a new comer when I acted in Nuvve Kavali. I had lots of fun
even though it was my first film. I am a matured actor now as
Nuvve Nuvve is my seventh film.

Tell
us how you picked Trivikram as the director for this film
When
we started Nuvve Kavali, Vijaya Bhaskar suggested that
we should have Trivikram as dialogue writer. But I was planning
to have one more dialogue writer so that there won't be any risk.
After looking at the dialogues written for a couple of scenes
by Trivikram, I decided that he is the dialogue writer for 'Nuvve
Kavali'. And rest is the history.
During
that time, Trivikram narrated this storyline and I told him that
I would be producing that story in the direction of Trivikram
whenever he is ready for it.
Tell
us about the storyline
We
cannot reveal the storyline. But it's a very sensitive one and
deals with love.
Tell
us about your experience in making this film
We
all worked like a closely knitted family. What is more important
than the success of the film is the pleasure of giving our best
to any film that we make. Entire team has delivered their best.
Koti
has given excellent music for this film. Hari Anumolu is my favorite
cameraman and the most dedicated technician. Shriya is the best
thing that has happened to this film. Tarun delivered a splendid
job. He is a born artist. I will give 5 stars for Trivikram's
script for this film. Lets see how many marks he would get in
direction department. I am proud that all my technicians and artists
have passion for movies. Money might be important. But it never
over takes the passion we have towards anything.
Tell
us how movie making has changed over a period of time
It's
becoming more and more challenging to make movies these days.
For every hour, there is a new problem for the producer to solve.
Most of the time is spent on crisis management.
I
have produced many movies so far. When you look back and retrospect
your career, you should not feel ashamed about any movie you have
made. I am ashamed of only one movie - Rowdy Mogudu. Other
than that film I have done all good films irrespective of their
commercial outcome.
Tell
us about your future films
I
would be doing the Telugu remake of Bollywood film Tum Bin
[Priyanshu Chatterjee, Himanshu Mallik, Rakesh Bapat, Sandali
Sinha] very soon. Our team of Trivikram - Vijay Bhaskar - Koti
would be doing a film with NTR that's going to start January 2003.
I am also going to present a film that is going to be produced
by Anil in the direction of E Sathi Babu with Srikanth as hero.
Interview
- Shriya
Tell
us about the character you play in this film
Name
of my character in this film is 'Anjali'. She is very bubbly.
She is happy and satisfied with whatever she has. She is very
close to her father. Her father can do anything for her. The film
is all about how she falls in love with this guy - Tarun. The
director gave strict instructions not to reveal the story to you.
I am helpless (giggles) [click

Tailpiece
Sunil
and Trivikram are good at diverting the topic and shy away from
revealing anything about the film. The entire unit calls Tarun
as 'Uncle' and Shriya as 'Aunty' - this is just to give a counter
attack these two kids, who call all the people in unit as uncles.
The entire unit has very warmth and affectionate feelings towards
each other working like a good team and living like a true family.
Idlebrain.com thanks and wishes the entire cast and crew of Nuvve
Nuvve a very good luck for their movie.
