I am a big fan of Chiru since childhood. But I never thought I would ever meet him in my life. Fortunately I had an opportunity to meet him in person. It was Feb. 22nd of 2000. The day was normal. I had no inkling that I was going to meet my favorite star. In the evening at 4 pm I got a call from my sis(Janaki) saying that they met a friend of ours and he said he is going to make us meet Chiru in Annapurna studios where he was shooting in for a film, Anji. I was stunned. Wow! I can't believe this. I was going to meet the Megastar of Telugu Cinema. My sis is also a diehard fan of chiru so she is also very excited.

Finally we entered Annapurna Studios. We were asked to be seated as Chiru was busy in doing a shot. There was a small gap in-between the shots. Chiru came out and we greeted him. He looked at us and said he is going to join us in a minute. He went into his room and then went to do another shot. Meanwhile we were served some tea. We also went inside and watched the shot that's being taken. With in no time the shot was done and chiru came out. He washed his face as it was covered with make-up of blood and some scars as it was a fighting scene and joined us.

He asked us about what we were doing in US and stuff like that. He acted just like a normal person. He has a down-to-earth attitude and a very kind person at heart. Its really unbelievable how simple he is and the way he received his fans. Finally We took some photographs with chiru and all the while he directed Raja Ravendra in taking those snaps. I asked chiru to give his autograph on a hundred dollar bill and he was surprised and looked at me and said "Vandaa? Vaddamma inka thakkuva denomination vunte chudu" but I insisted that I will be keeping it as a memory for ever so he can sign on it. Then he said "Baga sampadisthunnarakkada" and everybody laughed .We all had great time with him and It really is a wonderful memory to me to meet the Megastar of Telugu cinema.
