Story
Surya (Aryan) is a man who hates love. But somehow he
is charmed by Brinda (Anitha). Brinda likes his attitude
and admires him as a friend. But her admiration coupled
with a few coincidences makes Surya think that she is
in love him. When he is expecting her to spell those
magical words (I love you), she introduces Surya to
her fiancée (Sai Kiran). After Brinda weds her
beau, a damsel (Bhumika Chawla) meets Surya and explains
the flashback. That beautiful girl is a silent admirer
of Surya and had been following him for years. She proposes
to Surya when they were in college. Surya asks her to
come back once he is financially settled, as love and
life after needs security. Finally Surya settles for
her and movie ends on a happy note.
Artists
Performance
Aryan improved a lot in this film. He suited the
character very well. The dubbing voice given to Aryan
is also effective. Sivaji changed his comedy style in
this film. He aped Rajendra Prasad in dialogue delivery
to generate comedy. Anitha did well in her limited role.
Sindhu Menon does not have any much role to play. Bhumika
Chawla is the surprise pack of the film. She makes her
entrance in the film when people started walking out
thinking that the film is over. She has around 10-minute
role at the end of the film. The comedy track by Ali
- Mallikharjun is not interesting. The comedy track
by Krishna Bhagavan is partly good. It's a typical supportive
father role for Chandra Mohan.
Technical
Departments:
Screenplay
- direction: Director EVV Satyanarayana tried his
best to give a break to his son Aryan's career with
this film. But this kind of film is not EVV's cup of
tea. It's a sensitive triangular love story. Hence he
could not efficiently narrate the story in a gripping
style. He has also unnecessarily included fight sequences
to give the hero a mass image. Those fights - though
very effectively canned - are of no use to storyline.
EVV strength is comedy and sentiment. If he could mix
these two and make a film with Andhra nativity (probably
village based) with character speaking in proper Godari
slang, people would love to see his films. He has been
trying to experiment with stories in the last three
instances (Hai, Thottigang and Aadanthe Ado Type) in
stead of maximizing his strengths and making entertainers.
Other
departments: Music by Yavan Shankar Raja is good,
but lacks nativity. Dialogues by Janardhan Maharshi
are OK. Photography is good. The songs picturization
is okay. The best of the lot is the one that is canned
amidst pyramids in Egypt.
Analysis:
The basic story line deals with sensitive love. Its
a Tamil story remade in to Telugu. The director need
to inject the emotions of the characters very strongly
in to the minds of viewers. Though the narration sounded
neat, the emotions of the film were not brought out.
EVV should stop handling subjects which he is not familiar
with and start adapting the his good old narration style,
which has given his blockbusters in the past.
