Story
Madhava (Ravi Teja) becomes a thief in his childhood
to feed the hunger of his sister and he continues to
be a notorious thief in that village. There is one landlord
called Naidu (Tanikella Bharani) who exploits the people
around by unfair means. Rukhmini (Kalyani) is the daughter
of Naidu. Naidu also possesses the registration forms
of Madhava's house with him because he gave loan to
the father of Madhava at a very high interest rate.
Madhava
pretends to fall in love with Rukhmini so that he could
get the registration forms of his house back. The Rest
of the film is about how Naidu cooks a plan to convict
Madhava in a theft which he has not done and how Madhava
emerges as winner.
Artists:
Ravi Teja performed well with in the limitations of
the character. But his mustache is not big enough to
justify the caption 'meesaalu tippaada anthe!'. Kalyani
does not have much role to play in the film. Rekha is
limited to a couple of scenes. Tanikella Bharani got
pretty good role as a villain in this film. Shakeela
did the role of 'Kameswari' who has an extramarital
affair with Tanikella Bharani. Varsha performed well
as sister of Ravi Teja. Sunil did a comedy role of a
wannabe-lawyer. He had one serious and effective dialogue
in this film that got whistles from the masses.
Technical
Departments:
Story: The basic storyline lacks minimal logic.
One don't under why Madhava - who is an ambidextrous
thief did not steal the registration forms from the
villain's locker even when he got a chance to do that.
Everybody in the village knows that Madhava is a thief,
but they don't try to mend him or hand him over to the
police. On the top of it, hero has a sentiment. If he
twirls his mustache (meesaalu tippadam) in front of
somebody, it's a signal to the other person that hero
is going to steal stuff from that person's home on the
same night!
Screenplay - direction: The screenplay and direction
of the film is pretty routine. The characterization
of the hero and heroine roles is pretty confused. However,
the director handled the comedy scenes well.
Other
departments: Music by Vidya Sagar is pretty average.
All the songs in this film are rehashed from the existing
popular tunes. The 'Dum Dum Dum' song is good in the
film. There are some good mass comedy dialogues written
by Marudhuri Raja. Photography of the film is OK.
Analysis:
First half of the film is average with some comedy.
The second half is dull. Climax is routine. The basic
drawback of the film is confused narration and illogical
basic storyline. It may not go well with classes. This
film is basically aimed at B and C centers. One fails
to understand why Bheemineni has to buy the remake rights
of such an out-of-place storyline and make it in Telugu.
The success of this film depends on how masses receive
it.
