Story
Hema (Laya) is a professional singer from Vizag. Sai Krishna
(Jagapati Babu) is her secret admirer from Hyderabad. Raaji
(Raaji) is the naughty younger sister of Hema. Sai Krishna,
Hema and Raaji meet at a marriage function. Raaji tries to
do mischief with Sai Krishna for fun. Sai Krishna also teases
her, which Raaji takes very personal.
Sai
Krishna takes the address of Hema and starts writing fan letters
to her. Raaji plays mischief by opening them and writing replies
to Sai Krishna in the guise of Hema. Over a period of love,
then fall in love through letters and phone calls. Sai Krishna
does not know that its Raaji, who is writing letters to him.
Raaji too sincerely falls in love with Sai Krishna and fears
that he might not talk to her if she tells him the truth.
The
rest of the movie is all about how the truth is revealed to
Sai Krishna and whom he does marry at the end.
Performances:
Artists:
Jagapati
Babu: Performing this role comes natural to Jagapati Babu
as he played many of caught-with-two-women roles in the past.
He did well with in the limitations of the role.
Raaji:
She gets the maximum footage in this film. Her screen presence
is more than that of Jagapati Babu and Laya. She is fresh
and cheerfully performed her role as a mischievous girl turning
into a true emotional lover.
Laya:
The role of Laya is insignificant when it come to the footage
she is given. One fails to understand why she accepted such
a film, which has no importance for her. She is given three
songs in this film though. Most of her attire in this film
includes Saree and Punjabi dress.
Technical
Departments:
Screenplay
& direction: VR Pratap feels at home when directing
remakes. This film is a remake of Kannada hit 'Chandra Mukhi
- Prana Sakhi'. Though he could handle this film well, he
could not avoid boring moments in this film.
Music:
Music by Koti is average. But the picturization and placements
of the songs is good.
Analysis:
First half of the film is OK. Second half of the film is predictable.
This film is a run-of-the-mill stuff offering no variety.
