Story
Ravi (Ravi Teja) runs his father's textile franchise
in Mumbai and Preethi (Namitha) studies in Mumbai. They
meet each other and fall in love. Preethi's father (Tanikella
Bharani) is the Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad.
And he strongly hates love marriages because his elder
daughter set herself afire when her love marriage failed.
Ravi
and Preethi returns to Hyderabad. They get hold of Sachin
(Brahmanandam) - a marriage broker - and make him send
the photos of these two people across to their parents.
Their parents agree to the arranged marriage of Ravi
and Preethi. At this point of time, the police commissioner
comes to know that Ravi and Preethi cheated him to win
their love.
The
rest of the story is all about how the police commissioner
reacts and how Ravi convinces him.
Artists
Performence
Ravi
Teja: Ravi Teja is good as usual and his comedy
timing is impeccable. However, for a storyline like
this, a youth hero would have been a better choice.
Namitha:
She is definitely a scene-stealer of this film in the
first half. She did well and is very glamorous too.
She made sure that she leaves a good 2-inches of space
below her navel unclothed whenever she wore jeans pants
to the delight of the male audiences.
Others:
Brahmanadam generated good comedy though his role of
marriage broker. Tanikella Bharani is impressive as
the father of Namitha. Sobhan (director of Bobby) made
his debut as an actor and he also did a goodjob. His
accent and comedy timing is good. Chandra Mohan and
Sudha did the roles of Ravi Teja's parents in this film.
Technical
Departments:
Story - screenplay - direction: The story of this
film is routine. But the director Yogi tried to inject
a curiosity factor by placing the scene of Ravi Teja
and Namitha getting injured in the accident in the beginning
of the film and pushed back the love story and arranged
marriage attempt scenes to the flashback. The direction
of the film is average. The father hiding his daughter
in women's jail and hero entering jail to get his ladylove
back look unconvincing. Screenplay of the film is sluggish
in the first half. However its good in second half before
the accident scene.
Dialogues:
Dialogues of this film are decent. There are good occasional
oneliners and comedy bits. There is no nativity shown
in dialogues when the entire story of the first half
took place in Mumbai. The hero and other characters
would be conversing in pure Telugu even when they barge
in shops and eating places. He should have shown variation
in dialogues for the Mumbai backdrop.
Music:
Tunes of the film are impressive. But these tunes give
you the feeling of déjà vu as you find
almost all the tunes resemble old songs. Background
music is OK. Picturisation and choreography of the songs
is good.
Cinematography:
Photography of the film is good.
Analysis:
First half of the film is little slow. The film is good
in the first half of the second half. However, the climax
scene of Ravi Teja convincing Tanikella Bharani about
their love is unconvincing. Music (songs) is an asset
to this film. Over all it's an average flick. All the
guys who like Namitha can't afford to miss this film,
though!
