Story
The story is about three childhood friends Vennela (Suneetha
Varma), Vineeth (Sai Kiran) and Venu (Srinath). They do everything
together. Vennela has feelings for Vineeth and vice versa.
But they never express it to each other. When Vineeth is away
on a tour, Venu proposes to Vennela. Due to the unavoidable
circumstances, Vennela ends up in getting engaged to Venu.
The rest of the story is all about how the true love wins!
Artists
performance:
Sai Kiran: Sai Kiran is getting matured with films. He
is really good in this film in terms of looks and histrionics.
His acting is cool, controlled and subdued. He has put on
some weight and gained more glamour.
Srinath:
As a newcomer Srinath is impressive. He looks rugged and slightly
resembles Srikanth in few angles. He should get the nose job
done in order to improve his looks.
Suneetha
Varma: This Telugu girl - from the lineage of Alluri Seetarama
Raju - is impressive. She is homely-looking and good at performance.
She has a bright career ahead provided that she gets the right
break.
Others:
Chitram Seenu and Rajeev Kanakala played the negative roles.
Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, LB Sriram and MS Narayana
donned unimpressive comedy-oriented roles. Sirivennela made
a special appearance in this film. His definitions about poetry
and love are heart touching and excellent.
Technical
Departments:
Story - Screenplay - direction - dialogues: Story of the
film is very predictable. Direction of the film is mediocre
and screenplay is bad. Allani Sridhar - a novelist - failed
as a director and screenplay writer with this film. Dialogues
of the film are okay except for vulgar dialogues written for
Dharmavarapu. 'Uthsaaham' is another example of how novel
writers fail to transform their creative thoughts used for
writing novels on to the celluloid.
Other
departments: Music by Anurag is good. A couple of melodies
are soothing to ears. Background music is also OK. Photography
of the film is good. But the editing is pathetic.
Analysis:
This film - titled as 'Uthsaaham' (Encouragement) - is a discouraging
fair. The narration is pretty confusing and the scenic order
is improper. The director failed to capture the attention
of viewers even for a frame. After watching plethora of triangular
feel-good love stories in post-Nuvvekavali era, this film
offers a nothing new. You may safely avoid watching this film.
