Story

Kishore (Tripuraneni Kishore) and Sravani (Renuka Menon) fall in love when they visit the wedding of mutual friends. Sravani's father (Mukesh Rushi) is a mafia leader. Kishore's father (Chandra Mohan) is a bank employee. Sravani's father opposes their love. Sravani and Kishore elope. The mafia leader is on hunt for Kishore and Sravani. The film ends with Kishore and Sravani convincing mafia leader with their sermons on love.

Artists Performance

Debutant hero Tripuraneni Kishore is the son of a Telugu film producer TVD Prasad. For a first timer, his performance is satisfactory. Heroine Renuka Menon has the features of a Telugu girl with a bit of flab. Though appears pretty homely with a pleasant smile, she took every opportunity in the first half to expose her cleavage. Among the comedians, Venu Madhav scores high marks with his loud comedy followed by Brahmanandam and Rajesh. Actress Bhuvaneswari did a vamp role in the comedy gang. Telangana Sakuntala played it to the galleries with the ladies hostel episode.

Technical Departments:

Story: It is a typical love story with a thread of parents opposing on the basis of difference in social status of two families. The marriage trip to a village is taken as base for the formation of love between the lead pair in the first half. The second half has the elopement followed by chase.

Screenplay - direction: Jonnalagadda Srinivasa Rao who directed films Eduruleni Manishi (Nagarjuna) and Mansunte Chalu (Usha Kiron Movies) in the past directed this film. He catered to the frontbenchers by having mass oriented narration. The comedy in this film is loud and bit vulgar at times, though it got good response from mass audiences. Screenplay of the film is placid in the first half and bit swift towards climax. He adapted Teja kind of screenplay in the second half (lead pair eloping and escaping from the bad guys and cops).

Music: Vandemataram Srinivas offered tunes of mixed verities. 'Ne Preminchedi Ninne' is the best of all with a soothing melody. However, this pathos song is diluted with erotic picturization (drenching and tickling) when the sentimental love bond need to be rekindled during the time of separation. Banginapally Mamidipallu is the best mass song with a bit from 'Bapuji Zara Dheere Chalo' (Yana Gupta) imitated. The songs in second half are good. At times, background music dominated dialogues (especially the climax scene where heroine explains about their love)

Other departments: Dialogues by Rajendra Kumar are OK, if you can excuse bland comedy dialogues. Camerawork by Jaswant is satisfactory. Choreography by Lawrence and Rajasekhar is fair. Most of the movie is shot in RFC. Production values of this film are adequate.

Analysis: First half of the film is mediocre. Second half is better with interesting episodes. The ladies hostel episode is good. The plus points of the film are music and certain episodes in 2nd half. Since the movie has more of mass orientation, the film might appeal to the crowds of B and C centers and mass audiences. 'Valliddaru Okkate' might reach the target if promoted well.
