An interesting and pleasant love story, handled well by debutant
director Y. Kasi Viswanath. It is a carefully crafted film,
keeping in view the present craze for youth-oriented subjects.
The film is more a family drama in which almost all the character
rles get prominence. Music score by R.P. Patnaik adds to the
overall impact of film. Tarun and Arti Aggarwal, both having
made a name already play the roles well.
The first half of the film is devoted purely to humor. Comedian
Sunil gives company to Brahmanandam and Gundu Hanumantha Rao
who play a pair of purohits.
Veteran artistes Saratbabu, Chandramohan and K. Vishwanath
contribute well by playing sensible roles. But Ahuti Prasad's
villainous role appears to have been drawn out of proportions
with no logical end given to the character.
Radhakrishna (Tarun) and Krishnaveni (Arti) are children of
two close friends and business partners Pandurangam (Sartatbabu)
and Sivaprasad (Chandramohan) respectively. Right form the
start, the two are shown involved in teasing each other. Rakhakrishna
reveals to his curious grandmother (Radhakumari) that he is
interested in marrying Krishanveni. But this aspect of 'proposing'
gets lost in the busy schedules of the two teasing each other
on every occasion. Krishnaveni realises for the first time
that she too is in love with Radhakrishna only when his name
is proposed by another girl's (Laya) parents.
Laya senses this and informs Radhakrishna and moves out of
this situation with an intention to bring them together. Things
start changing at home front. One Rama Mohana Rao (Ahuti Prasad)
wants to settle score with Pandurangam and Sivaprasad for
a folly he thinks that Sivaprasad committed in his sister's
life. He sets the godowns of their pharmaceutical products
on fire. He enourages customers of their chit fund company
to revolt, demanding payment of their deposits. The firms
of the two friends suddenly collapse. They are beaten by the
customers till an elderly businessman Ramachandraih (K. Viswanath)
interferes and offers a huge sum to settle the customers'
account. Ramachandriah reveals then that his grandson Anandbabu
wants to marry Krishnaveni.
Pandurangam and Sivaprasad unaware of the developments give
their consent and start making arrangements. Raddhakrishna
too feels obliged to Ramachandriah and he asks Krishanaveni
to forget him and marry Anandbabu.
Thus a situation arises when the girl has to take a decision.
How she reacts to the situation the rest of the story.
