Director Sattibabu and dialogue writer Maruduri Raja can take
full credit for making this film an engrossing and entertaining
comedy.
The marriage of Seenu (Raja) with Ramya (Gazala) runs into
difficulties because the latter's sister Divya (Srutiraj),
stands in the way. This is the point from where the film starts
shaping into a humorous drama. Slowly other characters get
into play one after the other adding to its momentum. But
the entry of Brahmanandam with the name 'Hyderabad' into the
company of Narasimha (Srikanth), a small time thief, kicks
off the humor machine.
The story has a simple structure. In search of a person who
volunteers to successfully woo Divya and marry her, Seenu
comes across this Narasimha. And the latter has a problem.
He has to payback a huge loan to a girl Asha (Asha Saini).
If he fails to do so, he has to marry her. That is her condition.
To raise money he befriends a queer looking middle-aged bachelor
(Brahmanandam), who announces his name as Hyderabad.
Narasimha and Hyderabad make a novel attempt to loot the house
of Seenu's neighbor. And this is the scene one enjoys most,
which sets off a chain reaction. Seenu, who happens to watch
this attempt, blackmails Narasimha into trapping Divya into
love and marriage, so that he can marry her youngest sister.
Narasimha learns that Divya has a childhood friend named Rajesh,
who was her classmate in school. So Narasimha pretends he
is that classmate Rajesh and somehow convinces her. Meanwhile,
the father (Jayaprakash Reddy) - a retired army major - of
the two sisters, arrives. Realising his daughters are in love
with two boys, he asks them to stay in his house. And Hyderabad
also lands up in the house not knowing that his friend Rajesh
alias Narasimha is also staying there.
The police, headed by SI Kotiah (Kota Srinivasa Rao) also
starts frequenting the house in their 'hot pursuit' of criminals,
who looted Seenu's neighbours. Thus a situation is created
where all the characters in the story including Asha, the
parents of Seenu and the father of the real Rajesh (Brahmaji)
converge at the place to make things worse. How Seenu and
Narasimha finally wriggle out and convince the army major
they are suitable to marry his daughters forms the climax.
Debutant Raja has the ease and presentable looks. But he has
to improve a lot in his diction. For experienced Srikanth
this role is a cakewalk. Brahmanandam stands as the central
figure of the comedy part. Jayaprakash Reddy, knows for his
villainous roles, moulds himself well. Srutiraj and Gazala
are adequate. Kovai Sarala plays a role not worked out properly
by the scriptwriter. Asha Saini, leaves her mark on the film,
as usual, with her active presences. Music and photography
go well, accentuating the total effect of the film.
