The 100 days function of Krishna Vamsi’s latest film Chandamama was held at Durgam Cheruvu on the night of 18 December. This function is attended by Dasari, Mohan Babu, Maganti Babu, Bosta Satyanarayana, Anam Ram Narayan Reddy, Rajasekhar, Jeevitha, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, KS Rama Rao etc.
Speaking on the occasion Mohan Babu said, “I don’t have the habit of attending the functions that does not belong to me. But this is an exception. I was the one who brought producer C Kalyan to Telugu film industry. I am happy to see him as hit producer today. I saw the film and I could have done a small role in this film. Ahuti Prasad and Uttej excelled as actors in this film.”
C Kalyan said, “It was Mohan Babu who introduced me to telugu film industry. I worked for over 30 films. Dasari encouraged me a lot. Though I got recognition for my production skills, success eluded me. Krishna Vamsi gave my first hit.”
Krishna Vamsi said, “I was looking for a producer for this story and C Kalyan came forward. I told him in advance that he should be prepared even if it’s a flop. I should appreciate C Kalyan for trusting the director. I think he got that instinct from Dasari.”
Dasari said, “C Kalyan is a helpful man. But hits evaded helpful producers like MS Reddy and C Kalyan. I am happy that C Kalyan finally got a hit. C Kalyan represents the group of small film producers in the industry. Director Krishna Vamsi stood by me when I had a problem with a popular newspaper. He lost something during that period and he did not bother about it. Radha Krishna provided good music. Everybody worked well.”
