100 days function of Gopichand’s latest blockbuster Lakshyam were held at Shilpa Kala Vedika on the night of 3 November. This function was attended by NTR, Ravi Teja, Siddhardha, D Rama Naidu, Maganti Babu, Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, EVV, ML Kumar Chowdary, D Suresh Babu, Pokuri Babu Rao as guests. All unit members also attended the function. NTR said, “Bujji started his career with Aadi film. He made lakshmi film later. Now he made Lakshyam. The first two films did not have any 100 day functions though they were huge blockbusters. Me, Rajamouli, VV Vinayak and Bujji started our career from scratch and made it to this position. The climax of this film is new. I am sure that Srivas will be a prominent director like Rajamouli and VV Vinayak. I liked Gopichand action from the days of Jayam and Varsham. He talks less and work more.”
Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said, “It has been becoming increasingly difficult to have films that run for 100 days these days. During the times of ANR and NTR all heroes used to do 7-8 films and at least one among those films used to become a blockbuster. The heroes these days are doing maximum of two films. The director Srivas worked with many of my films. Gopichand and Jagapati babu acted like real brothers.”
Rajamouli said he liked the way the director mixed the main story concept with the climax.
VV Vinayak said, “I knew all along that Srivas would become a big director. I introduced him to many producers. I am happy that this film became a big hit.”
Siddhardh said, “I liked many aspects in this film. Gopichand looks pretty classy. This film is a trend setter. I am willing to act as second lead if anybody does a multistarrer with Jagapati Babu.”
Gopichand said, “I am happy that Bujji made a film with me as hero after the blockbuster of Lakshmi. I guessed the success of this film when I heard the storyline.”
Srivas and Bujji thanked everybody.
