Double platinum disc function of Bala Krishna’s latest film Maharadhi was held at Taj Residency, Hyderabad on the night of 29 December. K Raghavendra Rao and D Rama Naidu attended this function as chief guests and presented shields.

Bala Krishna, Sneha, P Vasu, Guru Kiran, Venu Madhav, Thotapally Madhu, Anant Sreeram, Vaka Appa Rao, Umesh Gupta attended from the Maharadhi team.

We achieved 80% of the success by now – P Vasu
Speaking on the occasion director P Vasu said, “K Raghavendra Rao is my favorite director and my mentor. I always believe that its extremely important to select a good story. Then with right casting and production we can complete the work. We already achieved 80% of the success now. Music contributes a lot to the success of the film. Maharadhi is a very good and a new type of film for Bala Krishna. There are new dimensions to Bala Krishna’s role in this film. Veechegalilo song will become the number one song after release. Guru Kiran is a great music director from Bangalore. I know that producer Appa Rao struggled a lot during the production of this film. I am sure that God will give good result to him.”

Music director Guru Kiran said, “It is a great feeling to receive a memento from K Raghavendra Rao. I acted in his tele film. I am a fan of Bala Krishna since childhood. It is like a dream come true working for him. I want to thank P Vasu for giving me this break. Maharadhi is a musical with a great story. Story is hero of this film. I am happy to know that Maharadhi music got good response.”

Actress Sneha said, “This is my 3rd film with Apparao. P Vasu is a wonderful director. Bala Krishna is an excellent actor and a very friendly human being. I got a good role in this film.”

Writer Thotapally Madhu said, “Bala Krishna invited me to Ooty for 10 days a couple of years back. I narrated 3 stories to him. He liked this one and promised me that he would make that story into film with the right director. I worked with 73 directors for 187 films and I am sure that Maharadhi has all ingredients to become a good entertainer.”

I donned 3 get-ups in this film – Bala Krishna
Hero Bala Krishna said, “There are many dimensions to my character and I donned three get-ups in this film. P Vasu is son of Peetambaram who worked as personal makeup man for my father NTR and MGR. After NTR and MGR entered into politics, Peetambaram left the profession because he did not want to work for any other actor after serving great actors like NTR and MGR. P Vasu – son of Peetambaram – made his debut as director with my film Sahasame Jeevitam. I noticed that Vasu had great taste for music. Music is a vital component of Maharadhi film. Sekhar Joseph is a dynamic cinematographer. P Vasu understands and extracts my emotions well. Shooting of the film was over 2 months back. But producer want to spend more time on postproduction. I hope to see the new year with a victorious film.”

January 10 release – Vakada Appa Rao
Producer Appa Rao said, “Maharadhi is a family entertainer. You would see even a drop of blood in this film. P Vasu who directed flicks like Gharana Mogudu, Chanti and Chandramukhi in Tamil directed this film. We will release Maharadhi on 10 January as Sankranthi special.”
