Triple platinum disc function of Ram Gopal Varma’s latest film ‘Shock’ with Ravi Teja as hero in the direction of Harish Shankar was held at Taj Krishna on the night of 4th February 2006. Ram Gopal Varma, Manmohan Shetty, Ravi Teja, Kona Venkat, Harish Shankar, Atul - Ajay, K Raghavendra Rao, SS Rajamouli and Kashmira Shah graced the occasion. K Raghavendra Rao and SS Rajamouli jointly presented the triple platinum discs of Shock to the unit members.

The whole creative credit for Shock should go to Harish - Ram Gopal Varma
Producer Ram Gopal Varma said, “Initially I planned this story to make a film in Hindi. I casually mentioned the story idea to Ravi Teja and he expressed interest in acting in that film. But everybody know my track record in Telugu. I ran away from Telugu film industry. Ravi Teja also recommended me Harish Shankar. It is Harish Shankar who dealt the film in his own style. The whole creative credit for this film should go to Harish Shankar. I am proud to be associated with this film. We can’s categorize this film to any genre. Harish Shankar possess an uniquely different way of telling the story. He came up with shockingly different narration for this film.”

Music director duo Ajay - Atul said, “Ilayaraja is like God for us and we always wanted to associate with south Indian film. This is our first film and we would like to thank Ram Gopal Varma and Harish Shankar.”

We will make more films in all languages - Manmohan Shetty
Manmohan Shetty (Entertainment One) said, “Making more films is our motto. We wanted to make films in lots. Ram Gopal Varma’s Factory is know for churning out films at rapid pace. That is the reason why Entertainment One is associated with RGV’s Factory. We will make many more films in all languages.”

Madhuram is my all-time favorite song - Harish Shankar
Direct Harish Shankar said, “I listened to a devotional album scored by Ajay - Atul and was inspired by those songs so much that I made them modify one song and score as ‘madhuram’ in Shock. Madhuram song is my all time favorite song and it enhances the mood of the film and romance between the lead pair on the screen.”

Guest SS Rajamouli said, “Generally the name of Ram Gopal Varma overshadows all the directors who make their debut in RGV’s Factory. When I saw the trailers of Shock, I could see distinct style and independent attitude of director Harish Shankar.”

All is well between Ram Gopal Varma and Suresh Kondeti
Ram Gopal Varma and Suresh Kondeti had a joint press meet after the function clarifying that everything is sorted out and they are jointly producing and releasing Shock film. Ram Gopal Varma said that the lawyer notice published in newspapers is due to certain misunderstanding which was cleared later.
