The triple platinum disc function of Venky's latest flick Vasantham was held at Sudarshan 35mm on 18th of July at 7 pm. Anitha Chowdary anchored the event. K Raghavendra Rao - the chief guest - presented the platinum disc to the director Vikraman, producers and music director SA Raj Kumar. Aswini Dutt presented the disks to hero Venkatesh and heroine Kalyani. Daivagna Sharma presented disks to dialogue writer Chintapally Ramana. Story writer Chinni Krishna gave away disc to lyricist Kula Sekhar. Hero Venkatesh gave momento to Sudarshan 35mm theater's proprietor Nanda Gopal. Producer D Suresh Babu gave shields to Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Delhi Rajeswari.

I am preparing mass story for Venkatesh
Speaking on the occasion, the story writer (not for this film) Chinni Krishna said that whenever something good happens to anybody's life it could be called as Vasantham. He said that the concept for hero sacrificing everything for the good life of a friend is pretty good. He said that Vasantham is best family oriented film he saw in the recent times. He said that himself and Vikraman are protégés of director Bhagyaraja. He said that its pretty difficult to narrate stories that center around the women characters and Vikraman should be commended for his good screenplay. Chinni Krishna said that he providing a mass story for Venkatesh for a film to be produced on Aswini Dutt's Vyjayanthi banner.

After five years of gap I watched a film with my wife
Dharmavarapu Subramanyam said that he never saw any film with his wife for the past five years. She asked him to take her to Vasantham film. He along with his relatives saw this film in Ganga theater of Dilshuk Nagar. This film is a complete pleasant film that would be liked by everybody. He said that four points are the highlights of the film

1. Venkatesh is looking very handsome in this film
2. Good screenplay by Vikraman
3. SA Raj Kumar's melodious music
4. Chintapally Ramana's pleasant dialogues

Welcoming break from youth songs
Kalasekhar said that it's a welcoming break for him as a lyricist. He said he penned for only youth songs so far and this film has given a chance for him to write lyrics on a heart touching point. He has penned two songs in 'Vasantham'

My aim is pull family crowds to theaters
Venkatesh thanked everybody for making this film a hit. He also remembered that all his films revolve around family subjects have become hits. Vikraman handled the subject with such a finesse that it appeared to the audiences that this character would suit only Venkatesh. He said that he had done Telugu versions of Vikraman's Tamil films like Suryavamsam and Raja. It needs lots of guts to do such a films with wafer-thin storylines that revolve around family subjects. He also mentioned that SA Raj Kumar gave wonderful music and his co-star Kalyani performed extremely well. He said that his aim to pull all the family crowds to his theaters and this film Vasantham fulfilled that.

Heroine Kalyani and SA Raj Kumar also spoke on this occasion. Later on Nizam Supergood films distributor Pramod garlanded the cast and crew of the film.
