Audio of Black and White, a Rajiv Kanakala starrer, is released today at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. The film made on Maithri Films is produced by Uday Kiran and directed by debutante Srikanth Vemulapalli. It has Jackie Shroff in a vital role, with Sindhu Tolani doing the heroine. This suspense thriller is set for release on August 22. Interestingly, the film has only one song – a mix of western and classical melody; and some sound tracks intended for arousing curiosity and suspense levels. It has music by Vijay Kurakula. MM Keeravani released the audio cassette (through Vel Records) and presented the first number to N. Kalyanram, who in turn released the CD giving to the former. Hero Rajiv Kanakala himself did anchoring for the event.

Fantastic music I hear for first time: Keeravani
Keeravani came out with high praise for the music album with single song. "For the first time in my career, I am very much thrilled to hear a song like this with perfect mix of western and classical melody. The beauty is that it has typical local touch and has the power to lure the listeners. I appreciate lyric writer Vanamala for his superb literature in the song. I wish all the best to the film unit as it is releasing in a couple of days."

Kalyanram said: "Rajiv is a good friend of mine. This film Black and White has a peculiar screenplay with new making for the modern generation of audience. Director Srikanth deserves praise for his commitment by executing the film with high technical standards. This suspense thriller will sure entertain one and all. As I hear this one song in this film, it has a very resonant touch. I am thrilled to be part of this function with Keeravani garu with me. His judgment about Black and White's music is the final. I too tried for him to work for my films right from Athanokkade, but it didn't happen. Now, I request him to consider one opportunity to my film." Interestingly, Keeravani gestured to him on the dais that he would definitely consider his request.

Vanamali thanked music director Vijay Kurakula for his patronage. "I am moved at the words of kindness from Keeravani garu about the literature in my lyric. As a journalist, I interviewed Keeravani garu in Chennai, but the opportunity to sit besides him at this function makes me nervous. I wish all the best to the entire unit."

After the audio release, the film Black and White was previewed to the unit members, press and guests. The dignitaries at the function included thriller-savvy Sekkhar Suri, producer Shanti Chandra, Siva Nageswara Rao, Sri Valli, Harshavardhan and others.
