Surya Movies banner which has delivered hits like Gentleman, Premikudu, Bharateeyudu, Jeans and Oke Okkadu in the direction of Shankar is all set to launch another film titled Boys (only for girls) very soon. The audio function of this film was held at Sai Raja theater, Musheerabad on the night of 30th June 2003. AR Rehman scored music for this film. Mahesh Babu, Uday Kiran and Trisha are the distinguished guests for this event. Suma and Uttej anchored this event.

The function was started with Usha singing the devotional song 'Sruthi neevu Gathi neevu'. After that Kathik and Dimmu sang the 1st song from Boys album. Then Venu Madhav entertained the crowds with his mimicry. Later on, Karthik, Dimmy and Usha sang 2nd song from Boys album. Two complete songs from the film Boys were also screened. These songs resemble the M TV genre in terms of picturization.

Mahesh Babu released the audiocassettes and gave the 1st copy to Uday Kiran and 2nd copy to Trisha.

Speaking on this occasion, producer AM Ratnam said that he made boys with the entire new cast. Though this youth film is titled as Boys, the entire family could watch it. He said that for the song 'Boom Boom' sung by Udit Narayan, they have used 5.1 channel surround for recording. The audio CD of Boys would also be released in 5.1 channel surround in a couple of weeks from now. There would be six full songs and four bits songs in this film. This film is expected to be released in the first week of August 2003.

Director Shankar said that each and every youngster tries to succeed in one's goal. But only 3% of them taste the success. These 3% of youngsters do not descend from heaven. They are among the local crowds. This film Boys tries to show the difference between the 3% youngsters and 97% youngsters. He also said that the climax song of Boys illustrates the secret of success and the analysis it. He said that he could transport whatever he had in his mind on to the screen with the help of high budget provided by the producer AM Ratnam. Raju Sundaram choreographed all the songs in this film.

This film stars Siddarsh, Nakul, Manikant, Bharat, Sai and Harini (Genelia). The other celebrities who graced this function include Suresh Babu, Allu Arvind, MS Raju, KS Rama Rao, KL Narayana, NV Prasad, YVS Chowdary and Murali Krishnam Raju (MAA TV).
