Audio of Sumanth's latest film Mahanandi was released by Venkatesh at a function arranged in Fortune Katriya Hotel. The guests who came to this function include Srihari, Anushka, MS Raju, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, ML Kumar Chowdary, Prabhas, B Gopal, Sai Kiran, Ram Prasad, Boyapati Srinu etc. Kamalakar scored music. Srihari plays an important role in this film. Sai Kiran also did another role. Samudra directed this film.

Venkatesh released the audiocassette and gave the first unit to Prabhas. Srihari said that he is hoping this film to become bigger hit than his earlier film NVNV. His role in this film gave him job satisfaction. Heroine Anushka said that she is playing a vital role in this film. Sai Kiran said that he is doing in a film of Samudra after Darling Darling film. Director Samudra said that Srihari and Sumanth are playing the characters equivalent to Lord Shiva and Nandi respectively in this film.

Producer R Srinivas said "I produced a film titled Subbu in 2001. This is 2nd Telugu film RS banner. Story of the film starts in Mahanandi. Re-recording of the film is currently going on. Srihari gave heart-touching performance in the climax of this film. RS Audio label which is launched with Maha Nandi audio would acquire rights for films form other banners in the future."

Madhura Entertainments label is distributing and marketing this audio. Hero Sumanth could not attend the function as he is stuck up with the work of Godavari film.
