Audio of Prbhas's Varsham was released with much fanfare in a set erected at Annapurna studios. Hundreds of Prabhas's fans graced to the occasion by wearing headband that reads 'Prabhas Youth Force'. Through out the program, they are echoing the slogans like 'Prabhas - maa boss', 'Prabhas Raju - Zindabad' in unison.

Mahesh Babu is the guest of function. The other celebrities who graced the occasion were Prabhu Deva, KL Narayana, NV Prasad and Jatin. Mahesh Babu released the audio and gave the first unit to Surya Narayana Raju (father of Prabhas).

Paruchuri Gopala Krishna said that he watched the entire film and he feels that 'Varsham' would become a mile stone in the career of Prabhas. He compared Varsham with Khaidi (Chiranjeevi), Samarasimha Reddy (Bala Krishna), Okkadu (Mahesh Babu) and Aadi (NTR). He opined that Varsham would collect 10 times what Prabhas's debut film Eeswar has collected.

Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry said that Sumanth Arts has four pillars like MS Raju, Paruchuri brothers, S Gopal Reddy and himself. And all of them do work hard to make good films. He thanked the producer and director for accepting his tunes with wholeheartedness. And he described Varsham as the pleasant seasonal rain that makes everybody happy. He said that music director Devi Sri Prasad has given very tender and matured music. This film would incidentally place Devi Sri Prasad as one among the top Telugu music directors after the release.

Music Director Devi Sri Prasad recollected that it was MS Raju who introduced him as music director with 'Devi'. He thanked MS Raju again for giving another opportunity. He thanked the entire team for helping him out in getting the best music out for Varsham. He sang couple of lyrics and entertained the crowds.

Hero Prabhas looked very happy and enthusiastic. You can see the glimpses of forthcoming success in his happiness. He said that he is indebted to producer MS Raju for giving him Varsham film. Prabhas compared the director Sobhan to Mani Ratnam and said that first films of these two directors did not work, but Mani Ratnam did not look back from his 2nd film onwards. Likewise, he predicted that Sobhan would have a similar future ahead. He said that songs given by Devi Sri Prasad are great. He thanked Sirivennela for his lyrics by saying 'Sastry garu. Super andi. Meeku dannam!'.

Varsham is releasing on 14th January 2004 with 150 prints in 200 theaters.
