Music of Krish’s latest movie Vedam featuring Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu and Anushka was launched at a function organized in Taj Deccan hotel on the night of 3 May. Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu, Anushka, Nagayya, Manoj Bajpai, Gnana Sekhar, Krish, TS Murthy, Keeravani, Dil Raju, Ram Lakshman, Sravan, Lekha Washington and Deeksha attended it.

Role of Raheemuddin – Manoj Bajpai
Manoj Bajpai said, “I got introduced in Telugu with Ram Gopal Varma’s movie Prema Katha. This is my second movie with Bunny after Happy. Allu Arjun and Manoj Manchu have good energy in their bodies. Vedam will be a special movie in the recent times. Director Krish has got good taste and the poster here is a testament to it. It takes a lot of guts for any actress to do the role played by Anushka. I did a role titled Raheemuddin in this movie. Keeravani composes excellent music. Vedam will remain as a good movie.”

There is no Vedam without Krish – Manoj Manchu
Manoj Manchu said, “Keeravani composed excellent music for this movie. I feel happy to work with so many actors in this movie. I am a fan of Manoj Bajpai. I felt intimidated to work with him because he is extremely talented. He told me that both of us are artists and should do well together. He encouraged me. There is no Vedam without Krish. We worked hard for a year. I feel lucky to act in Vedam.”

Wanted to bow at feet of Anushka – Ram Lakshman
Ram-Lakshman said, “We didn’t work for this movie for money. None of the cast and crewmembers worked for money for Vedam. We treated it as our own movie. I cried twice while watching the scenes in this movie. Anushka did so well that we wanted to bow at her feet. All fights in this movie are choreographed as per the demand and they sync well with the story narrative. The climax fight of Vedam will be natural.”

Vedam will be a trend setter - Anushka
Anushka said, “This is the first time a multistarrer is made in the recent times. Every one of all actors did extremely well in Vedam. We used to call each other with character names while the shooting was going on. Keeravani composed great music for the movie. I cried while listening to some songs in the movie. Director should have guts to deal with such kind of a script. This film will be the trendsetter in terms of multistarrers. Vedam will remain as a great movie in the annals of Telugu cinema.”

Wanted to distribute Vedam for entire AP – Dil Raju
Dil Raju said, “I feel that the good days are here again for Telugu cinema. Multistarrer movies used to come in Telugu in 1980’s and distributors made money on those movies. Krish tried to show Gamyam movie before release and I couldn’t watch it. I realised that I missed the chance of distributing a good movie after Gamyam’s release. I wanted to distribute Vedam for entire AP, but I am doing only Nizam due to Allu Arjun.”

Producer Prasad has good ethics - Keeravani
Keeravani said, “Initially producer Prasad Devineni gave me remuneration saying that I should score music for their small movie. After taking in Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu and Anushka, he came to me again to give addition amount as it had a big casting. I was surprised at the good ethics of Prasad. My wife Valli stopped produced music albums 3 years back. She is so much inspired by the music that she bought the music rights through her label Vel Records. Audiocassettes should be available in market soon. I am feeling proud to work for Vedam.”

No involvement of dad in Vedam selection – Allu Arjun
Allu Arjun said, “A new banner is being launched with Vedam movie. People questioned my logic in working for this movie. They opined that Vedam might not be the right movie for me as I had several commercial hits. I know that I will become a better actor if I work for Vedam movie. I am touched by the story and I am very emotional about the movie. My father is involved in movie selection of all my movies. Vedam is the first movie in which I didn’t involve my dad. I had shown the movie after the shoot is complete. He said that I got many hits and I will continue to get more hits. But I might not get great movies like Vedam often in my career. I will get a good name as actor with Vedam. I am happy to do the Rupai song that is also penned by Keeravani."

Manoj Manchu trusted me – Allu Arjun
Arjun also said, “Vedam is not an art movie. It is a commercial movie narrated in a new format. At the same time, Vedam film will be an answer to Telugu cinema critics at the national level. Anushka is taller than me and I worked for the first time with an actress who is taller than me. Only Anushka could do justice to the role she played. She is an extremely disciplined actress. When Krish narrated me the story I felt that Manoj Manchu would be the right guy to play the role of rock star. I went to Manoj and asked him. He blindly agreed without listening to the story because he trusted me. Vedam is a one-man show by Krish. All of us worked hard for him. We should all be proud because he is in Telugu film industry.”

Moths turning into beautiful butterflies - Krish
Krish said, “Keeravani penned four songs for this movie. Keeravani did great work in music and lyrics. Manoj Manchu acted in the film without asking for any narration. Anushka did the role of a prostitute and she did an emotional performance. This story needs a lean old man and I met nagayya at my grandfather’s house. He agreed to act in Vedam. Sirivennela penned lyrics for a song. Vedam mean Dhyanam (meditation) and Gnanam (knowledge). The story of the movie is about people like moths turning into beautiful butterflies. Vedam is all set to release on 20 May.”
