May 4th is the birthday of the senior most Telugu film director Dasari Narayana Rao (148 films). On this eve, the press went to the house of Dasari Narayana Rao to cover the birthday function.

Speaking to the press, Dasari said that he entered the Telugu film industry in 1972 with 'Tatha Manavadu' film. He completed 32 years of serving Telugu film industry. He dedicated his birthday to 'Telugu cinema kalama Talli'. He said that he started celebrating amidst industry crowds since 1975. He said that this is his 1st birthday celebration after buying an own house in Hyderabad.

He said that he would be making three Telugu films this year produced by K Devi Vara Prasad, Vadde Ramesh and Mohan Babu. He would be announcing further details of his films very soon.

Dasari said that he is not in the race for the seat of chief minister. He said that Congress is going to come to power at any cost this time. He said that he has been observing lot of dissatisfaction among the public when he started bus yatra on 3rd November 2004. He said that the basic reasons for TDP defeat are peasant problems, current (power) problems, unemployment etc.

Dasari said that he would make sure that the producers of small films would get subsidy for their films when Congress comes to power.

Upon asked the difference between political and film industry, Dasari said that politics is full of opportunists, and there is little bit of jealous factor in film industry. He also said that none of Telugu film actors come close to the acting of politicians.

Political and filmy bigwigs have graced to Dasari's house to wish him on his birthday.
