About Function

Silpakala Vedika, the 2500-capacity auditorium located at Silparamam, was bubbling with Megastars enthusiastic fans by 5 pm. The program started at 6 pm with Girish Sanghi, the MD and Publisher of Vaartha newspaper, lighting the jyothi. Singer and Dubbing artist Suneetha anchored the entire show.

The list of events include

- Clippings of songs and scenes from Chiranjeevi's films starting from Punadi Rallu.
- Live Chiranjeevi songs rendered by Chakri, Kousalya, Kunche Raghu, Suneetha and others
- Mimicry by Hari Kishan
- Dances to Chiranjeevi songs by Choreographer Krishna Reddy team
- Felicitation of Battina Brothers, who cured asthama to thousands of people, by Pawan Kalyan
- Presentation of Gold Medal to Pramod, who secured state 1st rank in 10th class, by Pawan Kalyan.
- Magic by BV Pattabhi Ram unit.
- Speech by Murali Mohan and Daivagna Sharma.
- Release of a book written on Chiranjeevi by Dr. G Samaram.
- Felicitation of Sri K Venkat Rao and Smt K Anjana Devi, the parents of Chiranjeevi, by Edida Nageswara Rao, Vijaya Bapineedu, C Aswini Dutt, Dr. Venkateswara Rao and Allu Arvind
- Felicitation of Padma Sri Allu Rama Lingaiah and Smt Allu Kanaka Ratnam, the in-laws of Chiranjeevi, by Edida Nageswara Rao, Vijaya Bapineedu, C Aswini Dutt, Dr. Venkateswara Rao and Allu Arvind
- A prerecorded film was played at 12 mid night where Chiranjeevi cut the cake and addressed his fans on the screen.
- Ram Charan Teja [Chiranjeevi's son] blew the birthday candle on stage. Mr. K Venkat Rao cut the cake and fed to the fans of Chiranjeevi.

High Lights:

- Among the clips shown on the screen, Chiranjeevi's challenge scene with Rao Gopal Rao in 'Challenge' film got amazing response followed by Chiru's police station fight in 'Khaidi'.
- Ram Charan Teja came to the function along with Jr. Rama Naidu (son of D Suresh Babu and grandson of Dr. Rama Naidu).
- The main attraction of the function was Pawan Kalyan who stayed at the venue for half an hour. The entire auditorium burst with excitement when media shy Pawan Kalyan made a public appearance after a long gap.
- In his speech, Chiranjeevi said that he has single wish - that is to be born as Chiranjeevi again in the next birth.
- BV Pattabhiram's short, but very meaningful and thought provoking, speech got thunderous applause.

Over all, it was a treat for all the fans that assembled there to celebrate Chiranjeevi's 47th birthday.

On the flip side:

Transportation: Hundreds of fans were stranded outside Silpakala Vedika after the function was over because of no transportation. Most of them had to walk down from that place.

Food: All the fans were sitting in the auditorium from 6 pm to 12:30 midnight without any food in between. The food sold in mini café inside was too costly to afford and fans were reluctant to move out of auditorium with the fear of losing their seat.

Duration: The duration of the function was too long (almost seven hours). The function started with fans making lot of hungama. But the pitch of the noise subdued by midnight due to fatigue. It would have been more fun if the function started somewhere around 9 pm.

But who complains! The day (oops night) is already made for Megastar fans
