Hexa platinum disc function of NTR’s latest film Rakhi was held at Green Park hotel on the night of 7 January 2007. Dasari graced the occasion as chief guest. The celebs who participated in this function include NTR, Krishna Vamsi, KL Narayana, S Gopal Reddy, Devi Sri Prasad, BVNS Prasad, ML Kumar ChowdaryDil Raju, Rajamouli, Kota,Raju Harwani etc.
Speaking on the occasion Kota said, “Audience expect films with strong story values from Sri Durga banner and Rakhi proved it again. NTR did 100% justice to his character. It will take at least one year to forget the performance given by NTR in Rakhi. I got good role in this film.”
Music director Devi Sri Prasad said, “I am very happy to have done this film. The sentiment in this film moved me. Director has chosen burning problems faced by women. The present society needs a film like Rakhi. I always enjoy working with Krishna Vamsi.”
Director Krishna Vamsi, “Dasari influenced me as a director since my childhood. I am happy that he came to this function as guest. He is a real movie maker. The emotions in Dasari films haunt us even after watching the film. I made this film based on the point that women give birth to us. I would like to thank Telugu movie lovers for encouraging Rakhi film.”
Producer KL Narayana said, “All of us put in good efforts and it feels good to get positive response. Rakhi got maximum appreciation among the films made on our banner.”
I would have rejected Rakhi - Rajamouli
Rajamouli said, “I would have rejected the Rakhi subject if some body approached me. Rakhi is extraordinary on the celluloid because it is made by Krishna Vamsi. NTR gave mesmerizing performance. Devi Sri Prasad music is extraordinary.”
NTR shown tremendous maturity in Rakhi - Dasari
Chief guest Dasari said, “Rakhi is one film that moved me in the recent times. I have not seen a film like Rakhi in the recent times that gives importance to women. I was impressed with NTR’s acting in Student No.1 and Simhadri. I saw tremendous maturity in NTR acting in Rakhi. NTR acting in this film inspired the director in me. We rarely see such histrionics from current generation of heroes. Though Devi Sri Prasad gave good music, the work of directors and actors dominated the music. Even then, it obtained Hexa platinum disc. I congratulate Durga Arts unit for producing such a good film. I am sure that Rakhi will create sensation in the long run.”
