Logo of Nitin’s latest film Drona was launched by SS Rajamouli at a function organized in State Art Gallery on the night of 1st November 2009.

Speaking on the occasion SS Rajamouli said, “Director Kumar has been with me since my first TV serial Santhi Nivasam. After Student No.1 film, I had a gap of one and half years and most of my team members left me. But Kumar stuck with me. He is an avid newspaper and book reader. He has tremendous general knowledge. He used to contribute a lot with GK while we do detailing in story discussions. He is also a determined person. He found it difficult to converse with North actors during the shooting of Chatrapati. He decided to learn Hindi by joining in an institute. He was not satisfied with results. He went out of state for 3 months to a Hindi speaking place just to learn Hindi. When he said that he is going to direct a film, I felt happy because he is becoming a director and sad because he was leaving. I am wishing him a grand success with Drona film.”

Director Kumar said, “This Drona has no resemblance to the Hindi flick Drona. This film has ample elements of action and sentiment. This film is about a honest cop father and an son who does wrongdoings.”

Actor Nitin said, “Shooting of Drona is almost complete except for a couple of songs and scenes. I observed Kumar while working for Sye film. He inherits all good qualities of SS Rajamouli. Everybody is working hard for the film.”

Producer DS Rao said that music will be launched in November end and film is expected to be released between Christmas and Sankranthi.
