Hero Srihari and director Chandra Siddartha today attended the Certificate Award Function of Madhu Film & TV Institute, administered by senior director and octogenarian Madhusudhan Rao, in Hyderabad. A gathering of about a hundred students, both outgoing and incoming batches in film acting and direction, welcomed the guests and did the formal honors to them. Interestingly, 85% of the students opted for direction, with the preference for acting not encouraging.

Acting is learning for lifetime: Srihari
Srihari gave away the Certificates to the outgoing batch. In his message to them, he said: “I am lucky to be part of the function, which coincides with the 86th birthday of Madhusudhan Rao. Tollywood has a number of talented artistes and directors who studied in this institute. Those days, I too wanted to join here, but for my inability to pay the fee. Today, you have all the facilities. Knowledge is in your lap.”

Referring the words of praise on him by a staff member that he didn’t act but behave naturally on the screen, Srihari said: “In fact, I never acted. I didn’t know how to do it. I am mad after films. I lived in the dream world to become an actor, round-the-clock. This bond with film industry makes me learn things to my heart. Acting in each film is learning. Be punctual in your assignments and do things with heart. You will definitely shine in your chosen fields.”

My doors open to newcomers: Chandra Siddarth
Lighting the lamp, Chandra Siddarth formally unveiled the attendance register for the fresh batch of students. The students introduced themselves to him. Giving his message to the students, he said: “At present, it is a Herculean task to become a director in Tollywood. But, for those talented and hard working students, the industry will never be daunting. Gone were the days when the entertainment industry was looked down as an addiction. Today, it has come to be recognized as one of the most respectable professions in the world. Get yourselves thoroughly updated about the latest trends in the industry. You have got good number of books on film acting and direction.”

“My doors are always open to fresh faces coming to me with academic background in their chosen professions. Don’t expect success hastily. To get recognition and settlement in profession would take some time. Meanwhile, don’t lose your hearts. Pursue your career seriously. Success will sure come to you.”
