Muhurat
of NTR's latest film Ashok was held at Annapurna studios
on the morning of 1st September with tremendous fanfare.
The guests who graced this occasion include Chandra
Babu Naidu, Bala Krishna, Venkatesh, Hari Krishna
and Kalyan Ram. Chandrababu Naidu sounded the clapboard.
Venkatesh switched on the camera. Bala Krishna directed
the first shot.
Surender
Reddy who made a splash with his direction of Athanokkade
is directing this flick. Valluripally Ramesh who gave
comedy hits like Avunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru, Kabaddi
Kabaddi and Pandem is going to produce this film on
Maharshi banner.
Director
Surender said, "The fans would see a new NTR
in this film. This film would have love, family drama
and emotions. Sameera Reddy is the right actress for
the role of heroine in this film. I am working hard
for this as if its my first venture".
Producer
Valluripally Ramesh who did all soft comedy flicks
so far said that this is his first big budgeted film
with stars and he would be spending money as per the
demand of the script and release it as on announced
date.
Story
writer Vamsi said that NTR would be presented with
new look and attitude in this film. NTR did not attend
the press meet. Sameera Reddy was not present at the
launch.
Regular
shooting of this film would start on 1st October and
Ashok would be releasing for March 2006.
