The muhurat function of Nagarjuna's 'Nenunnanu' was held
in style at a set erected in Annapurna studios. All the
bigwigs of film industry graced the occasion. Chiranjeevi
clapped on the photos of Gods. Akkineni Nageswara Rao switched
on the camera. Hari Krishna performed Pooja.
Speaking
on this occasion, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said that they
worked for Vikki Dada and Mutamestri for Kamakshi banner
in the past. They worked for Manasantha Nuvve and Sreeram
for VN Aditya so far. He said that they prepared script
for 10 months. He said that the total story revolves around
an incident that happens between Nagarjuna and Shriya in
their childhood. He said that it's a tailor made film for
Nagarjuna.
Paruchuri
Gopala Krishna said that this film has got city backdrop.
Nagarjuna works for a transport company for the port of
Vizag. He said that they are working with Bhupati Raja after
a gap of 10 years. The last film in their combination was
Mutamestri.
Acress
Shriya said that she is very much excited and happy about
this project. She said that she learnt a lot about acting
from Nagarjuna while working for Santosham and she is glad
that she got another opportunity to work with Nagarjuna
again.
Hero
Nagarjuna said that this is his 6th project with Kamakshi
banner. He said that he delivered a superhit in the form
of 'Allari Alludu' with Kamakshi banner. He delivered another
super hit 'Santosham' with the combination of RP Patnaik.
However, he remarked that he never had a super hit in the
combination of Paruchuri brothers. And he wished that Paruchuri
brothers would give their due of superhit with this film.
He said that this film has got a mass touch.
Music
Director RP Patnaik said that he is a friend of director
VN Aditya even before they started their careers. He described
this film as a mass film with a class touch. This film would
have 6 songs. There would be two solo songs on Nagarjuna.
There would 2 songs in the combination of Nagarjuna and
Shriya. There would be two duets on Nagarjuna and Arti Agarwal.
Director
VN Aditya said that he is thankful to the producer D Siva
Prasad Reddy and hero Nagarjuna for giving him this offer.
VN Aditya said that he always wanted to make a film with
'Yash Chopra' kind of touch with Nagarjuna as hero. But
the producer - being a hardcore fan of Nagarjuna - wants
an out and out mass film with Nagarjuna. Hence this script
turned out to be a perfect blend of mass and class elements
in the right proportions.
Producer
Siva Prasad Reddy said that this film offered everything
to all types of audiences right from A centers to C centers.
He assured that this film is going to be an absolute treat
to the Nagarjuna fans.
Recording
of songs for this film would start in the month of July.
This film would have schedules from 1st of the month to
15th of the month from August to December. This film is
slated for the release for Sankranthi 2004.
