AVM banner is producing a straight Telugu film after a long gap. Marthand K Shankar – brother of popular editor Marthand K Venkatesh – is making his debut as a director with this film. Varun Sandesh (Happy Days fame) and Vimala Raman (Abaddam fame) are playing main leads in this love story. Muhurat of this film was held at Rama Naidu studios on the morning of 2 May.

Speaking on the occasion director Marthand K Shankar said, “I would like to thank my father Marthand and my brother Marthand Venkatesh on this occasion. It was Pulla Rao who gave me an opportunity to meet and narrate story to Saravanan and Guhan. I was tensed while narrating the story. After listening till the interval part, they confirmed my film. I am proud to direct 173rd film of AVM banner that has given stupendous classics for decades. It is an entertainment based love story with family backdrop. The regular shooting will start in the month of June.”

Hero Varun Sandesh said, “This is my 3rd project after Happy Days and Kotha Bangaru Lokam. It is an awesome feeling to work with such a prestigious banner like AVM. I would like to thank the producers and the director for selecting me. The character in this film is completely different compared to my earlier two films.”

Actress Vimala Raman said, “I have done 8 Malayalam projects and two Tamil films including K Bala Chandar’s Poi (Abaddam in Telugu). This is my 11th film and my first straight Telugu film.”

Producer Saravanan said, “We made films in many languages. Our last film in Telugu was Gemini in association with Suresh Productions. This film is like a re-entry into Telugu. We produced around 32 straight Telugu films in our banner.”
