The new film of EVV Naresh titled Dongala Bandi was today launched at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. It is touted as a hilarious entertainer with 27 lead comedians. Made on GSK Network banner, two Mumbai girls Tanya and Malishka play the female leads. Prolific script and dialogue writer Vegesna Satish makes his debut as director. Producer is GSK Naidu. The venue bedecked with half a dozen giant flex designs of the film, showing Naresh in multiple getups as James Bond, Cowboy, Robin Hood etc, thrilled the gathering of children and women.

Muhurt shot on hero playing Train-game
After formal puja, TFPC president Tammareddy Bharadwaja sounded the clapboard, D. Ramanaidu switched on the camera. EVV Satyanarayana did the formal first shot direction. The muhurt shot was taken on Allari Naresh while coming from the rear of a big poster, enacting the Train-game of kids. He was trail by debut heroines Tanya, Malishka, Venu Madhav, Chitram Seenu, Suman Shetty and a couple of others. Gamyam director Krishh waved the green flag akin to a station master.

EVV Naresh said: "I knew Vegesna Satish as a good script writer and most of his films became good hits. I am confident that he would prove his mettle as a good director also with Dongala Bandi."

Ali, clad in a Roman attire, said: "People might get confused with the title as a story on a train. It is not like this. A group of thieves collectively are referred to as Dongala Bandi. Vegesna Satish is really serious about the project. The manner in which he sought the film opening shows his commitment."

Like MacKenna's Gold: Director
Vegenesna Satish said: "So far I did 35 films as script and dialogue writer. I am thankful to producer GSK Naidu, EVV Satyanarayana and Naresh for this opportunity. Subject of Dongala Bnadi is about a treasure hunt by a group of thieves." He referred to the Gregory Peck starrer MacKenna's Gold. "The shoot will commence from June 17th and would continue through three schedules before getting finished in August."

Mumbai girl Tanya said that Dongala Bandi was her debut film. "I am excited to be doing with a number of established comedians and with hero Naresh Ji." Malishka said she was impressed with the opportunities in Telugu film industry.

MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagwan, Kovai Sarala, Puja Bharati, Rao Ramesh, Kondavalasa, Melkote, Jayaprakash Reddy, Shakeela are among the cast. Music is by Rajasekhar Valluri, lyrics are by Suddala Ashok Teja, Abhinaya Srinvas, Surisetty Rama Rao. Arun Kumar provides cinematography. Vegesna Satish also provides the story, screenplay and dialogues.
