SV Krishna Reddy introduced Ali as hero in 1995 in 'Yamaleela' and made it a blockbuster. After a gap of 10 years, SV Krishna Reddy who selected Jagapati Babu and Srikanth as heroes for most of the films is back to direct an out and out comedy film with comedians as heroes. This time Venu Madhav joins Ali in this multistarrer 'Hungama'.

Muhurat of Hungama was held on the auspicious day of Sankranthi (14th January) at Annapurna studios. NTR, Nitin and EVV Satyanarayana were invited as guests of honor. NTR sounded the clap board, Nitin switched on the camera and EVV Satyanarayana directed the muhurat shot.

Director SV Krishna Reddy said that this mass comedy film is based friendship of two friends who does not like other person to grow up in life. Stunts director Vijay is composing variety fights in this film. Sunil and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam are playing comedy villains. Ramaraju is doing the role of main villain. Jyothi, Abhinaya Sri and Amukta Malyada are three heroines in this film and they have score for good histrionics. This film would be shot in a single schedule that starts on 30th of this month. This film would be liked by all kinds of audiences.

Ali said that it was SV Krishna Reddy who made him a hero with Yamaleela followed by a different film Gun Shot. He is hoping that Hungama too would give him a hit. Venu Madhav said that he was introduced as an actor by SV Krishna Reddy in Sampradayam film. He thanked SV Krishna Reddy again for making him a hero with Hungama. He is willing to act in small roles in other films though he is getting promotion as hero through Hungama.
