Agile Movie Makers who had earlier made a Tele film
'Janani Janmabhoomi' have started their first
film today at Annapurna Studios. The film titled "Mogguds
Pellams" is being directed by character artist
Ranganath himself. This will be the first time he
will wield the megaphone.
The
muhurath was attended by a few big names in the industry;
MAA president, Mohan Babu, gave the clap for the first
shot while Murali Krishnam Raju of MAA TV switched
on the camera. Tammareddy Bharadwaja guest directed
the first shot. Starring in this film are Shivaji
Raja and Rathi, who were in the shot.
Talking
about the film, director Ranganath said, "Agile
film maker have a great reputation their earlier attempt
Janani Janmabhoomi had received about eight Nandi
Awards and when I approached the producer with this
story they were impressed and encouraged me to do
the film."
"The
story is a love story, as love stories are the all
time favorites of people and then it also has comedy
as it is another hit genre. So it can simply be called
a comic love story. Shivaji Raja I felt was the best
choice for the role as it is not a teenage love story
but a mature one."
"People
who watch this film and fall in love will never fail
in it as it deals a lot with the concept of love.
I hope the audience will again encourage me in this
new avatar just the same way they encouraged me as
an artist."
Producer
of the film said, "After Ranganath told me the
story I was impressed by the way he narrated it. Then
we were unable to decide on the hero and we finally
decided on Shivaji Raja as he fits the role to the
T. The music of the film is by Raj Karan a new comer
who has given six great songs. The songs will be picturised
in and around Araku."
"The
film will be shot in a single schedule of 45 days
and after completing post production we are planning
to release the film in September or October."
Sivaji
Raja was very choosy with what he said, "I
was also impressed by Ranganath's narration and I
agreed to do it. It is a mature love story so I feel
I can do justice to the role. I would like to talk
more after the public has seen the film and appreciated
it."
Rathi
said, "This is my fifth film in Telugu and I
am happy to be working with such a team. I am looking
forward to act in the film."
Also
present at the muhurath were, Tannikella Bharani,
S V Krishna Reddy, Raghava and Ramesh Prasad.
