Where the self is, there is no love – producer Deva Kumar Reddy
Speaking on the occasion producer Deva Kumar Reddy said, “The concept of the film is based on – where the self is, there is no love. Where there is love, there is no self. We are trying to show what true love is through this film. This film is an attempt to look at the human values from another perspective. The melodrama in this film would exist due to the conflict between love and pleasure. Hero Vikramaditya (from Mumbai) has done a few films in Tamil. Sneha is the only heroine who could do justice for this important role. Director Nagabhushan is a sincere person with good taste for films. KM Radha Krishnana has given extraordinary tunes. Shooting of the film will start today and would be completed in the month of August. We are aiming for September 2006 release.”
This film will portray the real love – director Nagabhushan
Director Nagabhushan said, “I worked as a senior section engineer in Southern Railways before joining films. I worked as an assistant to MS Reddy, Geeta Krishna, R Uday Kumar and Vikraman in the past. This is my first directorial venture. This film will have simplistic narration about human relations. There is no villain, no fights and no sex in this film. Music has lot of weightage in the narration of the film. We are trying to give real portrayal of the love. Sneha is playing an orphaned girl (Tsunami victim). I grew up watching art and commercial films. I am trying to balance both forms of filmmaking to direct ‘Manasu Palike Mouna Ragam’.”
Music director KM Radha Krishnan said, “There is lot of scope for music in this film. There will be six songs and all these songs will be different type of melodies. I gave semi classical touch to few songs and remaining songs will have western feel.”
My first heroine oriented film in Telugu - Sneha
Actress Sneha said, “This is my 1st heroine oriented film in Telugu. Story of this film is light and beautiful. I am playing a loving girl who lost everything in life. I am very comfortable doing this character.”
Actress Chandana Chakravarthy (Anand fame) said that story of the film is sensible and it follows no formula.
Actor Sarath Babu said, “Producer Deva Kumar Reddy studied in Rishi Valley and imbibed the thoughts of J Krishna Murthy. He is trying to make a difference to the film industry by doing sensible films that benefit the society. Sneha is one of the very few actresses in current generation who can give expressions through eyes.”
