Telugu version of Rajnikant’s latest film in the direction of P Vasu is directing was launched at a grand function held in Hotel Novatel in Hyderabad on the night of 15 March. Jagapati Babu plays another hero in this film. C Aswini Dutt produces it.

This function is graced by Rajnikant, Chiranjeevi, Chandra Babu Naidu, K Raghavendra Rao, Dasari, Venkatesh, Ram Charan Tej, D Rama Naidu etc.

Chiranjeevi sounded the clapboard and Chandra Babu Naidu switched on the camera. Dasari directed the first shot and K Raghavendra Rao handed over the script.

Speaking on the occasion Chandra Babu Naidu said, “I am happy to be at this auspicious occasion. Rajnikant is a good friend of me. There is positive energy in him. He has unlimited energy and charishma. He is also great with his mannerisms. He has tremendous following not only in Indian states but also in Japan. He made India proud. He is also a good human being contributing to lots of social causes. I am sure that this film too will break the records. C Aswini Dutt is known for his grand production values and making films with big heroes like NTR and Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi is also a close friend of me.”

Chiranjeevi said, “C Aswini Dutt is known for getting tremendous attention and craze to his projects. He arranged such a grand muhurat today for this film. I am sure that this film boasts off good story value. Rajnikant is a good friend of me. When I was mentally disturbed recently, he invited me to Chennai. He spent a full day with me at a guest house in Chennai. His words gave me lot of strength. There is positive energy in him. There is a great philosopher in him. I spent last year’s deepavali with him. I am very happy that Rajnikant is a good friend of me.”

Dasari said, “Aswini Dutt is known for his special way of organizing functions. It is a rare combination. I knew Rajnikant for the past 32 years. His behavior has not changes a bit. He has taken his films to international level. P Vasu is like protégé. There is a good story teller in him.”

Rajnikanth said, “I am feeling happy and amazed as the producer could able to bring so many important people in a short notice of two days. For Pedarayudu film too NTR and ANR came together to bless the project. I am sure that this film would also become a big hit. During late 1970’s I was pretty busy both in Telugu and Tamil. It was difficult for me to shuttle between Hyderabad and Chennai. Balachandar suggested that I should settle in one of these languages. When I asked Mohan Babu for suggestion, he said that there are many politics in Telugu field and asked me to settle in Tamil. I acted ‘Annadammula Sawal’ and ‘Iddaru Asadhyule’ in Hyderabad. At that time, the producer offered me one and half acre of land in Jubilee hills and I agreed. Then a friend asked me to take money in stead. I happened to see Jubilee hills when I was coming to this venue. I should have kept the land at that time. Most of my good friends are from Telugu. My manager is also a Telugu. I like Telugu people.”

Jagapati Babu said, “I always wanted to meet Rajnikant and talk with him. I am very emotional about getting the opportunity to work with him. It is an exciting moment in my career spanning 20 years. It feels good to know that it was Rajnikant who suggested my name.”
