The
successful combination of Raghav Lawrence (mass),
Prabhudeva (NVNV), Raja (Anand), Gemini Film Circuit
(Shankardada MBBS) and Sridhar (Evadigola Vadidi)
is brought together to bring dance musical STYLE (Mass
lo Class). Muhurat of this film was held at a function
arranged in Annapurna studios on the eve of Ugadi.
Dasari Narayana Rao clapped the sound board, Lagadapati
Sridhar switched on the camera and D Rama Naidu directed
the first shot.
Speaking
on the occasion producer Lagadapati Sridhar
said that Style is a dance musical that is coming
in Telugu after a gap of almost 20 years (Sankarabharanam
& Sagara Sangamam). If the earlier films dealt
went classical dances, Style has more western orientation
towards it. Shooting of this film would be completed
in 3 schedules by July. Post production of Style would
take place in August and the film would be releasing
before Dasara (festival of dances).
Director
Lawrence said that he approached producer Sridhar
so that he would not only spend unlimited money for
uncompromising film, but also involves himself in
passionate filmmaking. He collected the days when
he used to be one of the group dancers under Prabhu
Deva's team and how Prabhu Deva encouraged him to
come up as choreographer.
Cinematographer
Kabir Lal said that Lawrence approached him
and narrated subject when he was working for Chiranjeevi's
film. Kabir Lal liked the subject and it has more
scope for cinematography. Kabir Lal has done Bollywood
films like Taal, Kaho Na Pyar Hain, Pardes etc in
the past. He said that he is using the Super 35 camera
for the first time in Telugu film industry with Style
film. Super 35 camera would offer more flexibility
of changing lenses and other accessories effortlessly.
Actor
Raja said that though it's a dance musical,
this film also has strong emotions and good storyline.
He mentioned to Prabhu Deva that he liked NVNV a lot
and is looking for such chirpy roles in Telugu now.
On
this eve, producer Lagadapati Sridhar helped handicapped
person Srinivas to participate in Asia Pacific Disable
Persons Meet that is happening in Bangkok by sponsoring
to and fro airfare to Bangkok.
