Music director turned director Shashipreetam's first directorial venture Naa Pranam Kante Ekkuva celebrated its platinum disc function at Film Nagar Cultural Club, Hyderabad. The event had less of film celebrities and more of film crew.

Shashipreetam started off the function by saying, "The music of the film is being promoted by Country Oven and Surya Lights, who have been giving their costumers a cassette. The film has already registered a half success with the success of the music."

"Our film has also has another first to its credit and this time it is the film's association with ING- Vysya, who are using the title of the film for their life insurance advertising. The bank has also taken up the sponsorship of the film's release. This has again helped in the promotion of the film."

Shashipreetam next invited the guests onto the stage, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Subbaraju of Verma Corporation, heroine Veda, Madhu of ING- Vysya and singer Suneeta.

Tammareddy Bharadwaja spoke first and said, "Shashipreetam was the first of the Telugu music directors to come. During a time when Tamil music directors threatened to boycott Telugu films, Krishna Vamsi brought in Shashipreetam to do the music of Gulabi and he did a tremendous job. Not I am sure he is going to prove himself as a capable director also with this film."

"The sponsorship of the film is a good thing and shows how small films get a boost because of such corporate sponsorships. This should be encouraged in the film industry as small films need to be encouraged."

The mementos were distributed later and the first was given to Aadil who sang a special Hindi song in the film, following him the female singer for the same song received a memento. Azgar Ravi who penned the lyrics of this song was given a memento later. Playback singer Suneeta, who was introduced by Shashipreetam in his film Gulabi spoke and said, "I am still thankful to Shashipreetam for giving me that chance, even after ten years of the film, people come up to me and ask me to sing that same song. I have also sung a similar melody for this film and I wish that this film is a success."

Later the mementos were given to all the cast members, Dr Neeraj, Madhushalini, Vamsi Varma and Jeevan, of the film along with the guests.
