Tamil movie Paiyaa feauturing Karthi and Tamanna in the main leads is being dubbed and released in Telugu as ‘Awara’. Gnanavel Raja is doing the Telugu version. Karthi’s last movie Yuganiki Okkadu did well at box office with nice openings. Linguswamy (Pandem Kodi and Run fame) directed this movie. The unit arranged a press meet today at Prasad Labs.

Gnanavel Raja said, “This movie is shot in Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Music will be launched in the third week of March. We are going to release Awara for summer.”

Linguswamy said, “My movies Run and Pandemkodi were received well at box office in Telugu. I am hopeful that this movie will also be appreciated by Telugu movie lovers. A care-free guy falls in love with a girl and he is forced to travel on roads with her. There will be twists and turns in the movie. Awara is has the right mix of romance and action elements. Story will be of Bhagya Raja type and narration will be in Ram Gopal Varma style.”

Tamanna said that most of the shoot took place on roads.
