Title of Sumanth’s latest film in the direction of Kanmani (Naa Oopiri fame) is confirmed as Chinnodu. Producers Lokesh Dutt and CV Srikanth arranged a press meet to explain the progress. This meet was attended by Sumanth, Charmme, Lokesh Dutt, CV Srikanth and Kanmani.

Producer Lokesh Dutt said, “We started the shoot on 1st of June and completed entire talkie part of the film by now. We are shooting a song currently at a set erected in Nanakram Guda studios. Two more songs will be canned in Europe. We are planning to release the film on 2nd October on the eve of Vijaya Dasami. This film is like ’Ugadi Pachadi’ with all emotions mixed in equal proportions.”

Extraordinary climax - Kanmani
Director Kanmani said, “We named this film as Chinnodu based on hero’s characterization. Sumanth is doing the role of a person who behaves normally but delivers extraordinary things. This film has a good story and an extraordinary climax.”

Hero Sumanth said, “There is neither false buildup nor cinematic heroism in this film. Yet it is a complete commercial film with all rounder elements. It is refreshing to do such a mass film after Godavari. Chinnodu is an emotional film with more drama. I am playing the role of ’Chinna’ whom some people fondly call as Chinnodu. This film has elements of both Satyam and Gowri films. The beginning episode and the climax will touch you. Ramana Gogula’s music for this film is as refreshing as that of Premante Idera and Badri. There will be five action episodes and five songs. I would like to give special compliments to the producers Lokesh Dutt and CV Srikanth. They produced this film in an efficient style by spending minimal budget to get the maximum output. This film is one of the best planned film I ever worked in.”
