Press meet of Ajay Sastri’s directorial debut Nenu Meeku Telusa was held at Prasad labs on the morning of 24 February 2008. Manchu Manoj, Riya Sen and Sneha Ullal play main leads. Lakshmi Manchu produces it.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj said, “The first schedule is coming to an end. There has been good response to the trailer we released recently. The idea is new and it is going to be a novel film.”

Director Ajay Sastri said, “I narrated the story to Manoj once and he got inspired and took me to Mohan Babu. He gave a go ahead. Manoj went to USA and did his own styling independently. The hero suffers from recurring amnesia and this film has no resemblance to any films that came earlier as it deals with a different problem.”

Riya Sen said, “I have done a Malayalam film and a couple of Tamil films. This is my first Telugu film. I am impressed by the way Ajay Sastri narrated me the story and took an instant decision to work for this film. Ajay is an intelligent filmmaker. I am playing Manoj’s love interest in the film. And there is a bit mystery add to my character. This film is not a typical commercial film.”

Sneha Ullal said, “I love Hyderabad and Telugu film industry. The people out here are soft and understanding. My first Telugu film is being directed by Karunakaran. This film is due for the release in April. Nenu Meeku telusa is my second Telugu film. Script and the director are the reason for me accepting the project. I did not like Manoj on the first day as I felt that he was showing lot of attitude. But over a period of time, we became good friends. I play the role of an IPS officer.”

Producer Lakshmi Manchu said, “All the crewmembers are first timers in the film. We are very excited to do this film with young people. Achu’s music is going to be a highlight. This is our pet project by friends. This film also sports best looking heroines. The response for the trailer is unexpected and amazing.”

Music director Achu said, “I worked with MM Keeravani earlier. Manoj and Ajay liked my work when I did keyboard work for Yamaranju remix song in Krishnarjuna. They liked it and offered me to music direct this film. I was not preparing to become a music director. I composed 4 tunes so far. Director Ajay gave me lot of freedom. I feel home working for this film.”
