May 1st release – M Saravanan
Speaking on the occasion M Saravanan said, “This is 174th film on AVM banner. It is doing extremely well at Tamil Nadu box office. Our earlier film Sivaji – the boss went on to become the biggest grosser in Tamil Nadu. Actor Surya gave us the best cooperation. Music by Harris Jayaraj is a huge asset. Veedokkade will be releasing with 150 prints in 200 theaters on 1st May. Suresh Production has joined hands with us to release the Telugu version.”
Racy entertainer - Sekhar Kammula
Sekhar Kammula said, “I saw the preview of Telugu version two days back. It is a breezy action entertainer. Surya holds the entire movie with his performance. Tamanna is gorgeous in this movie.”
Yamakasi fights in Veedokkade – Surya
Actor Surya said, “The success of Ayan film is very special to me. It generated excellent openings and very good reviews. This is 23rd film in my career and 2nd movie with the prestigious AVM banner. AVM is the best organized production house. KV Anand was the cinematographer for my first film. He gave good dimensions to each and every character. I come to promote only good films in Telugu. I am coming here after Ghajini and Surya s/o Krishnan. Both films generated excellent buzz. Veedokkade is not just another entertainer. But a racy and smart entertainer. I loved this adventurous film. Veedokkade is about a city based boy daring to do different things and how he gets into a trouble and comes out of it. It will be a different watching experience. Whatever fame and happiness Ghajini got me is doubled after the release of this movie. Harris Jayaraj composed wonderful numbers for me after Kakha Kakha, Ghajini and Surya s/o Krishnan. A Hollywood stunt master from Cape Town choreographed a different style of fight called Yamakasi – which is a free running street stunts. We shot this episode in an island in South Africa and incidentally it was the first film ever shot in that island. We also shot this movie in several exotic locations like Africa and Malaysia.”
Actress Tamanna said, “KV Anand cast me in this film after watching Happy Days. I have become a fan of KV Anand after working for this movie. I saw this film for the first time in a small town called Pollachi and the response was fabulous. I saw it again in Mumbai and the response was equally good. It shows that this movie is generating excellent response irrespective of the strata of society. Veedokkade is a fast paced fun film with loads of entertainment. I am a huge fan of Surya.”
