Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a film eagerly awaited not only by Pawan Kalyan’s fans but by all cinema lovers. Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a visually striking role as a warrior who fights for dharma. This period drama, being made on a grand budget under the Mega Surya Productions banner, is produced by A. Dayakar Rao and presented by renowned producer A.M. Rathnam, with A.M. Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi as directors. Nidhhi Agerwal and Bobby Deol play key roles. Slated for release on July 24, the film has massive expectations. The promos and songs released so far have received tremendous response, and the recently released trailer has doubled the anticipation. The film team recently held a grand press meet.
Speaking on this occasion, Pawan Kalyan said:
“I have interacted with media friends often in the context of politics, but I have never really spoken much for a film like this. I feel shy to speak about films. I don’t know how to promote a film. I know how to work, but it is uncomfortable for me to claim I did this or that. I became an actor and technician unintentionally. It’s not out of ego or arrogance that I don’t talk about films to the media; it’s just uncomfortable for me.
But the reason I am holding this press meet is for A.M. Rathnam garu. A film must survive. You may wonder why we are holding a press meet before a pre-release event in the evening. It is because we may not get another chance to interact with the media after the event.
Trivikram garu once wrote a line for Agnyaathavaasi: “Sometimes, you have to fight a war even for a small comfort.” That’s how it is with making a film – it requires fighting many wars, financially and creatively. Before I entered films, I used to wish I could have a producer like Rathnam garu. He is someone who took regional cinema to the national level, releasing Tamil films in Telugu and making them run on par with straight Telugu films, demonstrating his capability. He is someone who increased the creative potential of the film industry.
This film faced many ups and downs, including two waves of COVID, and encountered some creative challenges. Despite everything, we always wanted to make a good film. I saw Rathnam garu’s determination for this film. Especially after I entered politics and became distant from direction and the creative side, when my primary focus was on politics, Rathnam garu came to me and asked me to do this film again, and I gave it my best.
Currently, I cannot give time easily, but for the climax of this film alone, I had to shoot for around 57 days, during the peak summer of May. The martial arts I learned years ago abroad came in handy for this film. We sat with the choreographers and specially designed the climax, which is the lifeline of the film.
To briefly speak about the film, it is about how the Kohinoor diamond, found on the banks of the Krishna River in Kolluru, reached the Hyderabad Sultans and its journey thereafter. Krish Jagarlamudi garu laid the foundation for this film with this backdrop, bringing a good concept to me along with Rathnam garu. I liked it immediately and said yes. However, COVID severely impacted the film.
I have closely observed Rathnam garu. Once upon a time, producers, distributors, heroes, and directors would queue up to meet him. During Kushi, we completed pre-production a month in advance thanks to the facilities he provided us. It pained me to see such a person struggling. This is not about money or success but about standing by our people and the film industry that trusts us.
Even though Krish garu could not complete the film for some reasons, I am truly grateful to him for laying its foundation with a strong concept. During Kushi, Jyothi Krishna garu was doing a filmmaking course in London, and while speaking with him, I found him to be a sensible director.
At a time when there were doubts about whether this film would be completed, Keeravani garu became the life support for us. I always focus on the quality of the film and generally do not speak much about it, but I felt it was necessary to speak for this film.
At a time when producers are disappearing, I came here today despite my busy schedule, even while my political opponents are criticising me, because I wanted to stand by a producer who fought through many hardships and made a strong film. Because the film industry has fed me. I know many of you media friends personally, and I have immense respect for cinema. I took this film onto my shoulders because I didn’t want a producer like Rathnam garu to suffer.
Rathnam garu, Jyothi Krishna garu, and Manoj Paramahamsa garu have worked tirelessly for this film, sacrificing their sleep. Nidhhi Agerwal has taken up the responsibility of promoting this film. I came here today to say that this film is not orphaned – I am here for it.
I have always stood by crores of people and responded to the problems in this country, so why would I leave my own film? Rathnam garu, who started as a small makeup man, gradually grew as a director, writer, and producer to reach this stage. No matter how many difficulties he faces or how many people trouble him, he remains silent.
In the film industry, regardless of caste, religion, or region, if there is talent, anyone can shine, and that is why I have so much respect for the industry. Making a film is like a yagna (sacred ritual), and we don’t even know if money will remain at the end of it.
I came here to speak about the goodness of Rathnam garu and the good cinema he has made. After becoming Deputy CM, I have ensured that I allocate two hours daily from my personal time for this film without disturbing my administrative duties. Jyothi Krishna and Manoj Paramahamsa garu planned the shoot accordingly, and the output has come out wonderfully. Jyothi Krishna garu would pre-visualise every scene and show it to me in advance. He is a capable director with strong technical command, and Manoj Paramahamsa garu supported him well. With Rathnam garu’s experience, they have shaped this film beautifully.
I wanted to give my best to Rathnam garu, who has supported the Telugu industry and is my favourite producer. I proposed Rathnam garu’s name to CM Chandrababu garu for the post of Film Development Corporation Chairman, not because he is my producer, but because I believed the industry would benefit from having such a person.
I believe this film will give a beautiful experience to every viewer who comes to the theatre. A film should leave an impact on our lives, and I hope this film will provide that impact and energy.”*

“The media has been eagerly waiting to meet Pawan Kalyan garu, and it brings great joy that he has come for this press meet. In this film, there is a fight episode designed by Pawan Kalyan garu himself, which runs for around 20 minutes and carries a story within it. Keeravani garu took ten days to compose the background score for that single episode. After watching that sequence, I realised the Veeramallu Pawan garu envisioned was different and born from the fire within him – a war for dharma.
This film is set against the 17th-century Mughal backdrop, depicting a battle between Aurangzeb and the fictional character Veeramallu. I am deeply thankful to Pawan garu for giving me this opportunity. Since taking up this project, I haven’t rested for even a second. My father A.M. Rathnam garu’s drive and the fire in Pawan garu’s eyes kept me working tirelessly. My entire team has worked without sleep for this film. I can never forget the support of Keeravani garu and Manoj Paramahamsa garu.

"ఒక చిన్నపాటి సౌకర్యం కోసం ఒక యుద్ధమే చేయాల్సి వస్తుంది". అలాంటిది ఒక సినిమా చేయడమంటే ఎన్ని యుద్ధాలు చేయాలి. ఆర్థికంగా కావచ్చు, సృజనాత్మకంగా కావచ్చు. నేను సినిమాల్లోకి రాకముందు ఎ.ఎం. రత్నం గారి లాంటి వ్యక్తి నా నిర్మాత అయితే బాగుండు అనుకునేవాడిని. ప్రాంతీయ సినిమాని జాతీయ స్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లిన వ్యక్తి ఆయన. తమిళ సినిమాలను తెలుగులో విడుదల చేసి, స్ట్రయిట్ సినిమాల స్థాయిలో ఆడించి సత్తా చూపించిన వ్యక్తి. ఫిల్మ్ ఇండస్ట్రీ క్రియేటివ్ పొటెన్షియాలిటీ పెంచిన వ్యక్తి. ఈ సినిమా చాలా ఒడిదుడుకులు ఎదుర్కొంది. రెండు కరోనా పరిస్థితులు ఎదుర్కొంది. క్రియేటివ్ గా కొంత ఇబ్బంది ఎదుర్కొంది. ఏం చేసినా, ఎన్ని ఎదురైనా సినిమా బాగా రావాలని అనుకుంటాం. ఈ సినిమాకి ప్రత్యేకించి ఎ.ఎం. రత్నం గారి తపన చూశాను. ముఖ్యంగా నేను రాజకీయాల్లోకి వెళ్ళిపోయి.. దర్శకత్వానికి, క్రియేటివ్ పార్ట్ కి దూరమైన తర్వాత.. నా ప్రధాన దృష్టి రాజకీయాలపై ఉన్న సమయంలో.. నా దగ్గరకు వచ్చి మళ్ళీ మీరు సినిమా చేయాలని అడిగినప్పుడు నా బెస్ట్ ఇచ్చాను నేను. ప్రస్తుతం నేను టైం ఇవ్వలేను. అలాంటిది నేను ఒక్క క్లైమాక్స్ కే దాదాపు 57 రోజులు షూట్ చేయాల్సి వచ్చింది. మే నెలలో మండుటెండలో షూట్ చేశాము. నేను ఎప్పుడో దేశ విదేశాల్లో నేర్చుకున్న మార్షల్ ఆర్ట్స్ ఇప్పుడు నాకు ఈ సినిమాకి పనికొచ్చాయి. కొరియోగ్రాఫర్స్ తో కూర్చొని క్లైమాక్స్ ను ప్రత్యేకంగా రూపొందించాము. సినిమాకి ఇదే ఆయువుపట్టు. సినిమా గురించి క్లుప్తంగా చెప్పాలంటే.. కృష్ణా నది తీరంలో కొల్లూరులో దొరికిన కోహినూర్ వజ్రం.. హైదరాబాద్ సుల్తాన్ల దగ్గరకు ఎలా వచ్చింది? ఆ తర్వాత ప్రయాణం ఎలా జరిగింది? ఈ నేపథ్యంలో జరిగే కథ ఉంది. దీనికి పునాది వేసింది క్రిష్ జాగర్లమూడి గారు. ఒక మంచి కాన్సెప్ట్ తో వచ్చారు. ఆయన, రత్నం గారు వచ్చి ఈ కథ చెప్పినప్పుడు నచ్చి వెంటనే ఓకే చేశాను. అయితే కరోనా అనేది సినిమాపై తీవ్ర ప్రభావం చూపించింది. నేను ఎ.ఎం. రత్నం గారిని దగ్గరనుండి చూశాను. ఒకప్పుడు ఆయన వెంట నిర్మాతలు, డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్లు, హీరోలు, దర్శకులు తిరిగేవారు. ఖుషి సినిమా సమయంలో మాకు ఒక నెల ముందే ప్రీ ప్రొడక్షన్ అయిపోయింది. మాకు అంత సౌకర్యాన్ని ఇచ్చారు. అలాంటి వ్యక్తి నలిగిపోతుంటే నాకు బాధేసింది. ఇది డబ్బు గురించో, విజయం గురించో కాదు.. మన వాళ్ళ కోసం, సినీ పరిశ్రమ కోసం నమ్మి నిలబడటం. కొన్ని కారణాల వల్ల క్రిష్ గారు ఈ సినిమా పూర్తి చేయలేకపోయినప్పటికీ.. ఒక మంచి కాన్సెప్ట్ తో ఈ సినిమాకి పునాది వేసిన ఆయనకు మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కృతఙ్ఞతలు. నేను ఖుషి సినిమా చేస్తున్న సమయంలో జ్యోతికృష్ణ లండన్ లో ఫిల్మ్ మేకింగ్ కోర్స్ చేశారు. ఆయనతో మాట్లాడుతుంటే సెన్సిబుల్ డైరెక్టర్ అనిపించింది. ఈ సినిమా అసలు పూర్తవుతుందా లేదా అని మాటలు వినిపిస్తున్న సమయంలో.. మాకు ప్రాణవాయువు ఇచ్చిన వ్యక్తి కీరవాణి గారు. నేను ఎప్పుడు సినిమా క్వాలిటీ మీద దృష్టి పెడతాను తప్ప.. సినిమా గురించి పెద్దగా మాట్లాడను. కానీ, ఈ సినిమాకి మాట్లాడటం అవసరం అనిపించింది. నిర్మాతలు కనుమరుగు అవుతున్న ఈ సమయంలో ఒక బలమైన సినిమా తీసి, ఒడిదుడుకులు తట్టుకొని నిలబడిన నిర్మాతకు అండగా ఉండాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో.. నా బిజీ షెడ్యూల్ వదిలేసి, ప్రత్యర్థులు నన్ను విమర్శిస్తున్నా ఇక్కడికి వచ్చాను. ఎందుకంటే సినీ పరిశ్రమ నాకు అన్నం పెట్టింది. ఇక్కడ ఎందరో మీడియా మిత్రులు నాకు వ్యక్తిగతంగా తెలుసు. సినిమా అంటే నాకు అపారమైన గౌరవం. రత్నం గారి లాంటి నిర్మాత ఇబ్బంది పడకూడదని.. ఈ సినిమాని నేను నా భుజాలపైకి తీసుకున్నాను. రత్నం గారు, జ్యోతికృష్ణ గారు, మనోజ్ పరమహంస గారు నిద్రలు మానుకొని మరీ ఈ సినిమా కోసం కష్టపడ్డారు. అలాగే నిధి అగర్వాల్ సినిమా ప్రమోషన్ బాధ్యతను తీసుకున్నారు. ఈ సినిమా అనాధ కాదు.. నేనున్నాను అని చెప్పడానికి వచ్చాను ఈరోజు. కోట్లాది మంది ప్రజలకు అండగా ఉండేవాడిని, దేశంలో ఉన్న సమస్యలకు స్పందించేవాడిని.. అలాంటిది నా సినిమాని నేను ఎందుకు వదిలేస్తాను. ఒక చిన్న మేకప్ మ్యాన్ స్టార్ట్ అయ్యి.. దర్శకుడిగా, రచయితగా, నిర్మతగా అంచలంచెలుగా ఎదుగుతూ ఈ స్థాయికి వచ్చారు రత్నం గారు. ఎన్ని ఇబ్బందులు ఎదురైనా, ఎవరెన్ని ఇబ్బందులు పెట్టిన మౌనంగా ఉంటారు. కులం, మతం, ప్రాంతంతో సంబంధం లేకుండా.. ప్రతిభ ఉంటే ఎవరైనా సినీ రంగంలో రాణించవచ్చు. అందుకే సినీ పరిశ్రమ అంటే నాకు అంత గౌరవం. సినిమా చేయడం అనేది ఒక యజ్ఞం లాంటిది. డబ్బులు మిగులుతాయో లేదో కూడా తెలీదు. రత్నం గారు మంచితనం గురించి, ఆయన చేసిన మంచి సినిమా గురించి చెప్పడానికి ఇక్కడికి వచ్చాను. నేను డిప్యూటీ సీఎం అయిన తర్వాత.. పాలనా సమయానికి ఇబ్బంది కలగకుండా, నా వ్యక్తిగత సమయాన్ని ప్రతి రోజూ రెండు గంటలు కేటాయించాను. అందుకు తగ్గట్టుగా జ్యోతికృష్ణ, పరమహంస గారు షూట్ ని ప్లాన్ చేశారు. అవుట్ పుట్ అద్భుతంగా వచ్చింది. ప్రతి సీన్ ని ఎలా చేయబోతున్నామో జ్యోతికృష్ణ ముందే ప్రీ విజువలైజ్ చూపించారు. ఆయన సత్తా ఉన్న దర్శకుడు. సాంకేతిక విభాగాల మీద మంచి పట్టుంది. అలాంటి వ్యక్తికి మనోజ్ పరమహంస గారు తోడయ్యారు. రత్నం గారి అనుభవంతో వీరిద్దరూ కలిసి సినిమాని గొప్పగా మలిచారు. నాకు ఇష్టమైన నిర్మాత, తెలుగు పరిశ్రమకు అండగా ఉన్న నిర్మాత రత్నం గారి బెస్ట్ ఇవ్వాలి అనుకున్నాను. ఫిల్మ్ డెవలప్మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ చైర్మన్ గా రత్నం గారి పేరుని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు గారికి నేను ప్రతిపాదించాను. నా నిర్మాత అని కాదు.. ఇలాంటి వ్యక్తి ఉంటే సినీ పరిశ్రమ బాగుంటుందని ప్రతిపాదించాను. థియేటర్ కి వచ్చిన ప్రేక్షకులందరికీ ఈ సినిమా ఓ మంచి అనుభూతిని ఇస్తుందని నేను నమ్ముతున్నాను. సినిమా అనేది మా జీవితంలో ఎంతో కొంత ప్రభావాన్ని చూపించాలి. అలాంటి ప్రభావాన్ని, ఎనర్జీని ఇచ్చే సినిమా అవుతుందని ఆశిస్తున్నాను." అన్నారు.
దర్శకుడు జ్యోతి కృష్ణ మాట్లాడుతూ, "పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారిని కలవాలని మీడియా వారు ఎంతగానో ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు. ఆయన ప్రెస్ మీట్ కి రావడం మనసుకి ఆనందాన్ని కలిగించింది. ఈ సినిమాలో పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు డిజైన్ చేసిన ఒక ఫైట్ ఉంది. ఆ ఎపిసోడ్ దాదాపు 20 నిమిషాలు ఉంటుంది. ఆ ఫైట్ లోనే ఒక కథ ఉంటుంది. ఆ ఒక్క ఎపిసోడ్ కి కీరవాణి గారికి సంగీతం చేయడానికి పది రోజులు పట్టింది. ఆ సీక్వెన్స్ చూసిన తర్వాత నాకు అర్థమైంది ఏంటంటే.. పవన్ గారు చూసే వీరమల్లు వేరే. పవన్ గారు అనుకున్న సినిమా వేరే. ఆయనలో ఉన్న ఫైర్ లో నుంచి డిజైన్ చేసిందే 'ధర్మం కోసం యుద్ధం'. 17వ శతాబ్దం మొఘల్స్ నేపథ్యంలో ఉండే సినిమా ఇది. ఆ సమయంలో ఔరంగజేబుకి, వీరమల్లు అనే కల్పిత పాత్రకి మధ్య జరిగే యుద్ధం లాంటిది ఈ సినిమా. నాకు ఈ అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన పవన్ గారికి మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కృతఙ్ఞతలు. ఈ సినిమా బాధ్యత తీసుకున్నప్పటి నుంచి నేను ఒక్క సెకను కూడా విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోలేదు. మా నాన్న ఎ.ఎం.రత్నం గారి కసి, పవన్ గారి కళ్ళలోని ఫైర్.. నన్ను అలా అవిశ్రాంతంగా పనిచేసేలా చేశాయి. నాతో పాటు నా టీం అంతా నిద్ర కూడా మాని ఈ సినిమా కోసం ఎంతో కష్టపడ్డారు. కీరవాణి గారు, మనోజ్ పరమహంస గారి సపోర్ట్ ను మర్చిపోలేను. పవర్ స్టార్ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారిని తెరమీద ఎలా చూడాలని ఎదురుచూస్తున్నామో.. ఆ కోరిక హరి హర వీరమల్లుతో నెరవేరనుంది. జూలై 24న అందరూ కుటుంబ సమేతంగా వెళ్ళి సినిమా చూడాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను." అన్నారు.
కథానాయిక నిధి అగర్వాల్ మాట్లాడుతూ, "పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారితో నటించే అవకాశం రావడం అదృష్టంగా భావిస్తున్నాను. హరి హర వీరమల్లు అనేది నా సినీ జీవితంలో ప్రత్యేకమైన చిత్రం. నాకు ఈ అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన ఎ.ఎం.రత్నం గారికి ధన్యవాదాలు. జ్యోతి కృష్ణ గారు ఈ సినిమాని గొప్పగా మలిచారు. ఈ చిత్రం మీ అందరికీ నచ్చుతుందని ఆశిస్తున్నాను." అన్నారు.
