Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has fulfilled the promise made to singer Rahul Sipligunj. On the occasion of the Bonalu festival, the government announced a cash award of ₹1 crore.
Rahul, who began his journey as a youngster from the Old City, rose to international fame with the Oscar-winning Naatu Naatu song from RRR. The Chief Minister stated that Rahul, who climbed the ladder of success through his own hard work, is an inspiration to the youth of Telangana.
Before the last elections, during a programme held while he was PCC President, Revanth Reddy had announced financial assistance of ₹10 lakh to Rahul Sipligunj and promised that a Congress government would award him ₹1 crore in cash.
Recently, during the Gaddar Awards, the Chief Minister had mentioned Rahul Sipligunj specifically and said that the government would soon make an official announcement. Accordingly, today, on the occasion of the Old City Bonalu festival, the gift was announced for Rahul

సింగర్ రాహుల్ సిప్లిగంజ్ కు ఇచ్చిన హామీని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి నిలబెట్టుకున్నారు. బోనాల పండగ సందర్భంగా కోటి రూపాయల నగదు పురస్కారాన్ని ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించింది.
పాతబస్తీ కుర్రోడిగా మొదలైన రాహుల్ ప్రస్థానం ఆర్.ఆర్.ఆర్ సినిమాలో నాటు నాటు పాట ద్వారా అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో అస్కార్ దాకా వెళ్లింది. సొంత కృషితో ఎదిగిన అతడు తెలంగాణ యువతకు మార్గదర్శకుడు అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రకటించారు.
గత ఎన్నికలకు ముందు జరిగిన ఓ కార్యక్రమంలో కూడా అప్పటి పీసీసీ అధ్యక్షుడి హోదాలో రాహుల్ సిప్లిగంజ్ కు పది లక్షల ఆర్థిక సాయం ప్రకటిస్తూ, కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం రాగానే కోటి రూపాయల నగదు పురస్కారం ఇస్తామని రేవంత్ రెడ్డి చెప్పారు.
ఇటీవల గద్దర్ అవార్డుల సందర్భంగా కూడా ప్రత్యేకంగా రాహుల్ సిప్లిగంజ్ ను ప్రస్తావిస్తూ త్వరలోనే ప్రభుత్వ ప్రకటన ఉంటుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చెప్పారు. ఆమేరకు ఇవాళ పాతబస్తీ బోనాల పండగ సందర్భంగా రాహుల్ కు నజరానా ప్రకటించారు.
