At the success meet of victory Venkatesh-starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam, film’s presenter Dil Raju and writer-director Anil Ravipudi thanked the editor of idlebrain, Jeevi, for his accurate prediction of what the film will end up collecting.
Dil Raju said, “Thank you Jeevi garu. As I was getting down the stairs of Prasads IMAX after the completion of the film, he asked me, ‘How much gross did F2 collect?’ I replied, saying it must be around 130-140 cr. He said Sankranthiki Vasthunam will cross more than Rs 200 cr gross. I thank him for that. From the point of view of the media, he accurately predicted it will gross Rs 200 cr right after the first show and it will happen for true.”
Ravipudi, who is basking in the glory of the success, also extended his special thanks to Jeevi for his prediction and said the latter gave him a call after the morning show listing down his analysis while also stating that “it’s one of my best films. Thank you sir,” the director concluded.
Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which clearly emerged as the Sankranti winner, has grossed Rs 131 Cr in just four days, with day four alone contributing Rs 25 cr to its global gross. It is set to add more to its kitty today and tomorrow. It is the highest grossing film of Venkatesh’s storied career so far.
