After a gap of more than a year, Anushka Shetty is back and she is all fiery in the glimpse of Ghaati, which the makers dropped earlier today as she rang her 43rd birthday.
A little under a minute, the glimpse opens with a group of men carrying (probably weed) on a hilly terrain. At one point, as the cops chase them, we see director Krish cutting to the walking visuals of Anushka and her feet before he pauses on to a shot where she is holding a sickle while sporting a native tattoo on her hand. She is later seen butchering a guy in the bus without remorse, while cutting a stern pose. The glimpse concludes with her carrying the head of the beheaded person.
Rounding up, the glimpse catches your attention with its intensity, dramatic appeal and intriguing storyline with Anushka in peak form, firing on all cylinders. It is remarkable how scenes of action and gore blend without a glitch in the glimpse, as if to suggest that one complements the other. The glimpse also highlights a retro feel to the story with its bright colourful palettes and thrilling background score, adding to it an air of edginess and mystery, while promising a riveting action-drama.
Ghaati is written by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao, Krish and Burra Sai Madhav, while the likes of Ramya Krishna, John Vijay, Chaitanya Rao and Ravindra Vijay are playing supporting roles. Krish is introducing Vidya Sagar as a composer with the film, which is a joint production venture between First Frame Entertainments and UV Creations.
