The film Jatadhara features Sudheer Babu in the lead role, with popular Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha playing another crucial character. With this film, Sonakshi Sinha is making her debut on the Telugu silver screen. Going by the trailer, she appears to be portraying a unique role as a Dhana Pisachi (wealth-seeking ghost). Another key role in the film is played by Shilpa Shirodkar, sister of Namrata Shirodkar. After a very long gap—since her film Brahma alongside Mohan Babu—she is returning to Telugu cinema with this project. Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, Srinivas Avasarala, and Shubhalekha Sudhakar are also seen in other prominent roles.
The censor formalities for Jatadhara have been completed. The censor board has awarded the film an ‘A’ certificate. Produced under the banners of Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, the film is directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal. With all censor work completed, Jatadhara is set to release in Telugu and Hindi languages on November 7.
