On Wednesday, Rebel star Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin participated in a live Instagram session, where they dropped some interesting details about the film. When Prabhas asked Ashwin how he managed to rope in the likes of heavyweights like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan for the film, the director said, “We gave multiple narrations to everyone. They could find some basic core connect with the whole story; they discovered a soul in the story. They took some time to hear it out again and think about whether they can really pull it off… because as makers we tell so many things and whether we will pull it off is a question mark they have. I think Kamal’s sir casting took a long time. He was coming out of Vikram and he is not playing a typical bad guy (in Kalki). It took a while to chase him down.”

The session saw Prabhas inadvertently revealing the presence of Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda in the film much to the sheepish grin of Ashwin. The makers so far were tightlipped about their participation in the film but the cat is finally out of the bag. Extending his thanks to them, Prabhas stated, “You made the film bigger.”

Ashwin also took the opportunity to reveal that Bhairava, Prabhas’ character in the film, will make an entry at around 20-22nd minute. “There are so many characters and so much story to tell. It might look like a late entry but it will be the best entry. I’m not a screamer in theatres but I will shout for Bhairava’s entry. People will go home with Bhairava being the most loved character in the film despite the fact that there’s a rainbow of star cast. It’s definitely my favourite character I’ve written. He’s so innocent in a way but still a superhero. It’s a mix of everything,” he revealed.

Further, Ashwin said the climax of the film will even take Prabhas by surprise and hinted at part 2 after three years.
