Pawan Kalyan is the toast of AP politics right now. There’s literally no conversation about AP politics that concludes without the mention of his name. By emerging victorious in all the 21 Assembly constituencies and both the Lok Sabha seats it contested, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena, which was founded as recently as 2014, has achieved a rare feat in the history of AP politics.

The JSP fought the elections as part of an alliance with the TDP and BJP. Pawan has also become a first time MLA as he pipped his YSRCP rival Vanga Geetha by a whopping margin of 70,270 votes.

Ever since this thumping win, congratulations have poured in for the abhineta-turned-neta from all corners and on Friday it was the turn of celebrated actor Kamal Haasan to give a ring to Pawan. Taking to X, Kamal, who has own political outfit- Makkal Needhi Maiam- in Tamil Nadu, said that he extended his “heartfelt congratulations” to Pawan and “wished him the best”. “Had an emotional conversation and conveyed my heartfelt congratulations to Shri @PawanKalyan on his electoral triumph! I wished him the best as he embarks on this journey of serving the hopes and aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. Proud of you brother!”

Many Pawan fans erupted in joy seeing Kamal’s tweet as they went about re-posting and liking it in hordes.
