Presently a part of big-ticket films like Game Changer and Matka, actor Naveen Chandra has green-lit a new movie, where he plays the lead. To mark the Telugu directorial debut of Tamil actor-turned-director Madhankumar Dakshinamoorthy, the film, sources say, was launched earlier this week in Hyderabad in a low-key ceremony. Pairing up with Naveen in the film is Kamakshi Bhaskarla, who shot to fame with her turns in Polimera franchise.

A source close to the development tells us, “The plot of this untitled film is under lock and key but it is believed to be a slow-burn emotional thriller that will have the viewers on tenterhooks for the most part. Treading familiar themes, it will tap the actors in both Naveen and Kamakshi. The makers are planning to commence the shoot from July 12th in Hyderabad and wrap it up in a start-to-finish schedule of less than 25 days. The prep has been going for a while and the actors too have been given readings, so it shouldn’t be a hurdle for the makers to finish it in the intended time.”

Madhankumar, who acted in films like Karnan and Maaveran, has hired the services of writer-director Srinivas Gavireddy to pen the dialogues of the film and his work is complete, while Sekhar Chandra will compose music. Costumes Krishna son Chandrasekhar and ATV Kishore are jointly producing the flick.
