The trailer of Varun Sandesh-starrer Nindha was released by the makers on Wednesday and it promises to be a gripping mystery thriller.
A little over two minutes, the trailer opens with Varun’s voice as he says, “The day a good man fails to get justice, is the day the society is dead.” We later get to see six men kidnapped and confined in one place away from the hustle-bustle of the populace, with security keeping an eye on them. They are served their favourite food and handed over pills on time but then they are puzzled. As they remain clueless about what’s going on, one of the six men says to know what’s happening, we should know what transpired in the past. Turns out, there is one Balraju (Shekar) who is accused of ruining a girl’s life. There are contrasting perceptions about him. While some believe he is a good man, others believe he has committed the crime. Doctors who examine the girl who is now dead confirm that Balraju has raped her. The cops too come to a conclusion, after investigation, that Balraju is the guilty party. Is he indeed the culprit? Or did someone frame him? What is the nature of Varun’s role as this mystery unfolds? To know all these answers, we have to wait until June 21st.
Overall, it’s hard not to overstate the beauty of the director's compositions here as the cinematography sets the mood for a dark mystery thriller, which will take you by surprise. The plot is uncommonly rich and absorbing, and seems to be bolstered by strong characters and terrific performances. The background score by Santhu Omkar heightens the tension.
Made on The Fervent Indie Productions, Nindha is written, produced and directed by Rajesh Jagannadham. It also features Tanikella Bharani, Shreya Rani Reddy, Madhu, Sreeram Siddharth Krishna, Rajkumar Kurra and Durga Abhishek in supporting roles.
