Like the first part, Allu Arjun-fronted Pushpa 2 has become a king-sized blockbuster, cementing its place in the annals of Indian film history as one of its biggest blockbusters by grossing Rs 1738 crore. It has earned its place in the hearts of the audience by delivering copious entertainment and was largely driven by Allu Arjun with great support from Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Sukumar’s writing skills and direction skills were also on full display.
With the makers giving a lead for Pushpa 3 towards the end of Pushpa 2, naturally there is excitement surrounding the continuation of the franchise. At a presser of Robinhood, which Mythri Movie Makers is producing, a question to this end was posed to Y Ravi Shankar, one of the founding members of the famed production house. “Pushpa 3 will happen for sure. Allu Arjun garu is right now doing Atlee film. Later he will do a film with Trivikram garu. He will take two years to complete these films. Sukumar garu will do Ram Charan film next. So by the time he is relieved of Charan garu’s film and Allu Arjun too completes his assignments, it will take two-and-a-half years. So we are looking to begin in two-and-a-half and three years.
“We will not take too much time this time around. We will be in front of you in three-and-a-half years. Sometime in 2028, Pushpa 3 will be released,” the producer stated.
